Turkish Delights

Kaixo!

Now let´s talk about something sweet. ;)










This city is multi-cultural. So aside from some African music in the streets, there´s also Arabic dancing and separate stalls for Arabic food.Too bad we missed the dancing part but these sweets made up for what we missed and some sweet tea too (though I prefer my tea unsweetened)! ;)

Here´s what I wore:

assymetrical top- Mango( summer sales 2010)

assorted accessories- random stores from here

black leggings- Bershka ( winrer sales 20009)

I´m having a bad hair day ( what´s new!) and so I had to re-take some of my photos indoors. I hope you don´t mind. ;)

PS: Sorry for the misleading title, the photos on top are just Turkish cookies and not ¨lokum¨, the original Turkish Delights but  these cookies/biscuits do have a delightful taste. ;)

Nice blue top! Mmm.... I LOVE looking at food pictures!!! I've never tried Turkish Delight. The first time I heard of it was from Chronicles of Narnia. I would love to, though! It sounds SO good.

Hiii :) oh wow, its wonderful that you live in Spain! I've always wanted to visit Barcelona someday. It looks so beautiful :) How lucky that you're away from all the hoopla in our country now. Same old, Philippines :)

I never thought of a Turkish bakery - everything looks soooo good! Great outfit - it has sort of a Turkis flavor. You look good.

shirt dress converted to top - Zara ( from the sales last year) Lately, I´ve discovered that the extra pounds that I´ve unconsciously piled over the past years have finally settled comfortably on my face. Skirting the Issue

Halooo! So how´s your weekend? ;) Mine was spent visiting the new flat ( we just had the new sofa delivered, yey!) and last Saturday we went to this mini-food fair where they sell lots of goodies. I tasted some chorizos, jamon serrano, and a glass of white wine too. Too bad I forgot to take the camera so no photos to show you but we brought home some sweets which unfortunately we also gobbled up during the weekend. hihihi! At least I´ve spared you from breaking your diets this summer. ;) Truth be told, I don´t look good wearing high waisted skirts because I have wide hips ( I´m good at hiding them here ;) . Maybe I could pull off wearing them 10 yrs. ago when I still have a slimmer silhouette, er, smaller waistine and hips and a flatter middle but now everything especially my hips are expanding faster like the speed of light. Flyday Fridays: Paris (part 1)

The first time I went to Paris was in early spring. It was raining and gloomy but that didn´t stop me from falling in love with this romantic city. Here are some things to do and places to visit when you´re in Pa-gheee . ;) 1, 2, 3: Get lost inside le Louvre,  pass by   Mona Lisa´s room and get mesmerized by her coy smile and if you like ancient jewelry, be enthralled by the museum´s jewelry collection. Even the bishop´s crozier is bejeweled! 4: Admire the Sainte Chapelle´s amazing ceiling, structure and colorful stained glass windows. 5,6: Fall in line (entrance is free!) and admire the sculpture and stained windows of the Notre Dame. By this time you´re very tired and so take a rest at the park/garden at the back of the church. Later you can cross the small bridge and have your lunch at one of the numerous creperies and restaurants in the small island. 7,8: After a light lunch, take the metro and go to Montmartre and visit the Sacré Coeur.
