Flyday Fridays: Gold

Image
Hello, dahlings ! How´s summer treating you in your side of the world? It´s still hot in here (although the weatherman says that we´ll have rain showers today) and I´m getting a beautiful tan. I can even tell how deep my tan is by comparing it with the only thing which hasn´t seen the sun, the white patch perefectly hidden below my wrist watch, hehe . Anyway, I´m kinda tired of wearing white and pale colours and so I jumped ahead of the bandwagon and wore gold. Summer flew so fast, September´s just a round the corner! The stores are slowly filling up with cobalt, gold/mustard,fuchsia, red, dark grey colors and that only means one thing, fall  aka  autumn( in my side of the world) defiinitely is coming. Gotta have an early headstart, peeps! :) We took these pics after a short visit to la suegra´s nursing home and so pardon the hair. You know me, I take the ¨ je ne sais quoi ¨ attitude   seriously. By that I mean, put on jeans, a clean cotton top and make a lopsid

WIWW: LBD in London

Happy Wednesday, everyone and yes, I have a very red background, hihihi! May background´s flooded with lots of red poppies. :) I may have told you that I went on a long weekend trip to London the other weekend. So here´s a sneak peek of what´s to come although for now, these are outfit pics. We took these on our first stop of the day, at the Tower of London. I know that the London weather is ambivalent but I didn´t expect that it changes it´s mind every three minutes from  sunny->cloudy->rainy and so I wore black and a hat , just in case. I wanted something breezy and dark because I´m bloated(as usual) and a pair of flats because there was a lot of walking going on. The red tote was for storing the denim jacket when it´s sunny and the umbrella for the rain showers. Gotta be ready for anything! :) dress and bag (all from the summer sales)- Zara, sandals - Pimkie I´ve been wearing a lot of jeans and shorts lately and so a jersey dress( albeit in black) would

Monday Remix: All White Shorties

Image
If there´s one piece of clothing that I would normally grab from my closet aside from my white button downs and chambrays, it would this pair of white shorts. It´s such the perfect thing to wear in the summer heat and combines with anything. It´s even photogenic with water as your background! ;) I´ve had this shorties for a while now and this time, I paired it with a cool cotton white top for a crisp and clean look. Since I´m loving pink these days, I used my old fuchsia bag and colored sandals for a touch of color. top - Version Originale, shorts(very old ) - Bershka, bag(old) , sandals -Zara An all white summer look is great for some outdoor escapades, I wore this on my 4th day stay in the western part of Spain and it kept me relaxed and cool the whole day. It must be the cotton blend of the top or because white reflects the heat and not absorb it. Nevertheless, it looks good with the mountains as a backdrop too. Though I had to check if I´ve got a stain on my shorts o

Flyday Fridays: The Road Trip( part 1)

Image
Happy Friday, my blogger readers and friends! Finally, here are some travel pics taken on our five day road trip to Galicia two weeks ago, but first, here´s what I wore: There´s nothing more comfortable than a crisp white button down, cut-offs, colored sandals and a hat to start off  any summer trip. I chose a white button down to dress up a little my too casual outfit of shorts and sandals. Do you know that the white  button down is versatile piece and should be a must have in your closets? You can either dress it up or down or whatever way you want and the resulting outfit always guarantees a perfect look! ;) So our road trip´s first stop was this old town of Astorga(in the province of Leon) where I first saw this piece of work by the famous Catalan architect Antoni Gaud i ( the one and only who designed Barcelona´s La Sagrada Familia). This was one of the few works done by Gaudi outside of Catalonia. It´s called the Episcopal Palace . He did this palace for his friend,

WIWW: Denim and Dots

Happy Wednesday, dahlings ! Sorry for being MIA last Monday, the hubz and I went on a long weekend trip to London and we just came back last night. Anyway, here´s a what-I-wore set of photos which were taken at the church garden of a town called Tui in Galici a(western part of Spain) the the other week. I´ve never tried the dotted and denim combination before and so this was an experimental outfit. Do you think it worked? ;) The short chambray cropped top was lucky find from last year´s summer sales while the dotted circle skirt was from this year´s sales. I wore my old fuchsia colored bag for a pop of color. You´ll be seeing more of this combination in my travel posts photos because I wore this the whole day while travelling from one town to another and so don´t be surprised if this shows up three or more times in the blog, lol! top , sandals and bag (all old) -Zara, skirt - Bershka I´m glad the plane landed on time and there weren´t delays on our rountrip flight

Flyday Fridays: Wearing Green and Palm Leaves

Image
Hello, Friday! I´m having my OOTD taken in a little town of the La Rioja region called Najera. It´s not your typical Spanish postcard town but it has it´s own charm. It´s quite a famous tourist stop in here. Here are some what- I-wore pics on that day and as for my outfit, the usual suspects of: a pait shorts, linen shirt, hat, sandals and sunglasses (very important!) . linen top - Massimo Dutti- shorts(old) - bershka, sandals(old) - Zendra, bag - Longchamp le Pliage Prior to this, we stopped by the vineyards because I wanted to see howthe grapes are growing eventhough the vineyards aren´t mine, lol. The grapes are still small so you still can´t see them in the pics but you can see the palm leaves on my top, no? You know me, I tend to wear matchy-matchy, even with my backdrop, hahaha! And just for fun, can you find the blooper part of this photograph? Clue: Look down south. ;) If you haven´t, it´s right there on my feet, lol! Right before taking these pics, I st

WIWW: Denim on Denim

And... I´m back! Hello, all! I´m back on the blog still dazed and quite ¨carlagged ( I invented this, don´t look it up!) ¨ from our long road trip to the western part of Spain. It wa quite a dizzying ride, literally, but it´s worth it. Anyway, here´s a set of pics from an afternoon trip in the nearby towns here: You might have already seen this denim shirt dress which I first wore when we went to Bilbao a few months ago so this little chambray dres slooks familiar. ;) My friend and I got this denim hat from the current sales at a very discounted price, As I was trying it on the mirror my friend kept on saying  ¨ Take it,take it. It´s so you!¨. And I just did because a true friend does what her friend says, no? ;) This was a well spent afternoon trip because we started in a very old salt marsh, visited a 12th century Romanesque church, had some pics taken at an old castle and ended up on this river although it´s so hot and dry. That´s why now you see me: and now y
