WIWW: B/W and Stripes

Image
Hola, hola! :) These are what-I-wore pics when I had my vacation in mild- weathered Catalonia last December. After visiting the Casa Torres Winery, we also made a detour to Girona, one of the most important and bustling cities of Catalonia. I kinda held on posting these pics in winter because it wasn´t weather appropriate especially to most of you who had a terrible winter this year. ;) I missed this black skater skirt, I was looking for it the other day but I can´t seem to find it in my closet. I hope it didn´t get lost because it´s one my favorite skirts : It hugs my hips in the right places and it´s just the right length to fake long legs . The black and white top is three years old. The neckline used to be a turtleneck but I cut it to make me more comfortable around my neck. I just can´t stand wearing turtlenecks unless it´s windy or really cold and I don´t want to wear a scarf. top- Zara, skirt- bershka, bag- Longchamp le Pliage We´re back to winter mode again he

Monday Remix: Playing with Black and Brown

Image
And I´m back! :) I tend to repeat outfits in real life. So here´s a black-brown-cream combo but with a different jacket and bag. Never mind the background, we took these photos at our local train station just before we hopped on the train to Madrid. I super love this brown leather jacket in soft leather, it´s my current favorite nowadays and the brown bag too both lucky sale finds. Don´t you just love it when you find things that you really like ( at almost half a price off) and would use it over and over again? ;) jacket - local store, pants and top - Zara, tote bag - Misako, shoes - Bimba & Lola Black pants are a classic, you can find me wearing them in almost all of my posts (especially travel posts) but a cream colored top is something new for me. I first wore the top here in another dark brown-black color palette: Paired with an electric blue pants and dark blue jacket .... and ........ with a pair of floral pants for variety!

Flyday Fridays: Chambray and Black

Image
Happy Friday, luvs ! :) Today´s outfit is what I´d normally wear everyday, a pair of black jeans, chambray top and booties. It´s boring, I know. Hahaha!  What´s new though is this pair of olive green booties which the hubz gifted me on the Feast of The Three Kings ( major gift- giving in Spain happens on this day) last January. Technically it was I who chose this pair when we went to this huge commercial complex filled with outlet stores in Elche, Spain last December but he paid for it so it´s a gift, no? ;) So this is my uniform nowadays and can´t be bothered with dressing up. I hate to admit it but yes, I´m on a style rut. I need inspiration, y´all ! top - Pimkie, pants - Zara, booties - Wonder, coat - Fórmula Joven, bag - Bimba&Lola My vacation´s ending, I´ll be with you soon. In the meantime, have fun this weekend! :) Hugs, Che Edited: Just got back tonight, I´m linking up with Style Elixir´s Friday Fab Favorites  and Simple Sequins´ Fashion It

WIWW: Red Letter Day

Image
I celebrated my birthday last weekend. Naturally, I had to wear red to celebrate it! ;) If you ´ve been noticing my outfit choices lately, they´re becoming simpler bordering on being minimalist. It´s just the way I am because I´m a lazy dresser, lol! The less fuss, the better. If I want to dress up a basic outfit, I just wear eye-catching accessories and that´s it. This pleated skirt is another lucky find at the winter sales. I love it´s puffy design which gives you an instant hour glass figure while hiding your muffin top. Isn´t that cool? ;) I wore this outfit to celebrate my birthday lunch with the hubz. I usually celebrate my birthday by inviting friends over to our flat and I cook for them. This year, I opted out. I got sick and it´s quite embarrassing to offer your friends something to eat when you´re coughing every five seconds. ;) skirt , necklace and heels - Zara, top - El Corte Inglés, clutch(old) - Blanco I´m still on vacay but I hope to visit your bl

Away on a Monday

Image
Good day, everyone! I´m taking a week long breather from the blog to see some beautiful sights in the south of Spain BUT I´d still be posting outfit posts on Wednesday and Friday. I´ll be back next week to visit and comment on your blogs, refreshed and with lots of stories to tell and outfit posts to show you. In the meantime, here´s an old pic taken from the Mateus Palace Gardens in Vilareal, Portugal: shirt dress- Mango, bag- Zara, hat- H&M The chambray shirt dress which was an all time favorite of mine is already gone. The hub z (sneaky fellow!) accidentally placed this on his clothing pile for donation last year while I was away on vacation last year . Thankfully, I still have the pink bag which I love to bits and yes, our flat turned into a war zone for a while after knowing that he gave away my fave shirt dress. Oh men! Will be with you next week but don´t forget to visit me on Wednesday and Friday for some outfit posts! :) Hugs, Che

Flyday Fridays: Goldie and I

Image
Goldie and I went for a walk last week. First, we had lunch with the hub z in my favorite restaurant-pastry shop and then burned a few calories later by just walking around and window shopping. In case you´ll ask who Goldie is, here she is, my coppery-gold booties which are becoming  a favorite of mine. I give my shoes names now, hahaha! :)  And here´s my date on that day: top and pants - Zara, booties- mango, bag- Bimba&Lola He´s a bit rough looking but he´s a smoothie all over and buffed too! ;) The problem is, he´s stuck on the bench forever and so we can´t go anywhere for more walks. I´m glad Goldie is a pair of shoes and I can bring her with me everywhere I go! ;) Happy Friday, dears! :) Kisses, Che PS: Pardon the nonsense blabbing, I´m still high on drugs, er, medicine, I mean for my cough. ;) PSS: Linking up with Style Elixir´s Friday´s Fab Favorites , Penniless Socialite´s Favorite Fashion Friday , Lena B and Rachel´s Passion for Fashion Frid

WIWW: Nude and Salmon Pink

Image
Hi, all! For a dark haired and warm skin toned gal like me, wearing pale colors is a challenge. Personally, I´d prefer wearing dark colors because I think I look best in them but it´s nice to experiment with colors once in a while. So today, I´m wearing light colors but paired with a darker shade to balance the overall look. Hope you like the color palette! I scored this salmon pink angora sweater from the current winter sales. It´s very light, hairy and itchy, hehe ! You need to wear it with an undershirt, a long sleeved one and although I found one in my closet, it was longer than I expected and the edges somehow got jumbled in the crotch area of my pants. Hahaha! I finished the look with a lightly washed denim jacket, a pomelo colored clutch and necklace and nude pumps to go with my nude pants. The weather´s been really great these days and when I started to have colds, I thought it was an allergy because spring came early but it´s a virus lovingly brought h

Monday Remix: Burgundy and Prints

Image
Hello, Monday! First, pardon the droopy eyes, I´m on medication for my cough and colds because it got worse. No fever though but waking up with an achy throat in the morning isn´t my version of fun to start the day. So anyway as I was starting to spring clean my closet, I found this printed pants which I wore only once last year. I kinda  forgot about it, hehe. This is what happens when you have a disorganized small closet, you just pile everything on top of the other forgetting about your clothes at the bottom portion. So here´s what I whipped up for today´s Monday Remix: My long forgotten paisley pants and one of my all time fave burgundy sweater in what else, preppy-minimalist style! top -  local store, pants and necklace - Blanco, bag(old) - Zara, shoes - Zendra I first wore the pants last year in late winter: and the burgundy sweater since 2012. This top has travelled with me all around Spain and in Portugal too! ;)

Flyday Fridays: Baby Pink

Image
I was about to post an outfit in blue and cream today but I remembered Renae of Simple Sequins asking her blogger friends to wear something pink for her Big C fight. So darling Renae, this is for you! :) This was my first sales find at the winter sales, a pink button down. I don´t know why but I seem to be collecting button downs these days, probably because they make the perfect layering piece on chilly days or they´re just the right top to pull out from the closet on those ¨I don´t have anything to wear¨ days when you want to go for a very casual but chic look. In other words, they´re the perfect classic pieces to hoard   keep in your closet. ;) top - Mango, jeans(old) - Zara, clutch(old) and pumps(old) - Blanco Since this is already a very casual ensemble, I paired it with dark blue pumps and finished with a leopard printed clutch. In my book, animal prints = chic, so if you go for a casual but chic vibe, this is it! We´re having warm weather today and this we

WIWW: All Blue (and a touch of yellow)

Image
Holaaa! Wearing all blue with a touch of yellow from the clutch for a ray of sunshine. It´s hard to ask for some sun when it´s been raininng non-stop since Monday. I wore this last Sunday, a miraculously no-rain day despite the heavy and non-stopping downpour which happened on Saturday night which almost ruined the carnival parade. The temperature wasn´t that blistery cold though so I still got to wear a denim jacket( although thicker) over three layers: light shirt, cotton button down and a V-neck vest. Pale/pastel blue is trending nowadays so I made use of the old light blue vest that I had. Anyway, how are things on yur side of the pond? I hope the weather´s cooperating. jeggings - Zara TRF, button down - zara, vest - UC of Benetton , clutch(old) - Blanco, denim jacket- Promod Today, I woke up with a sore throat, sneezes. and stuffy nose. I hope this is just temporary. The hub z and I have been dodging Mr. Colds for almost a year now after celebrating Chris
