WIWW: The Straight Leg Jeans

Image
Hello, everyone! The spring weather has finally arrived on my doorstep and so I´m wearing spring- y  outfits these days. One thing that I´m really loving are straight leg jeans. I´m a convert since last year and it´s the best decision ever. For somebody whose got thick calves, straight leg jeans are a breather to wear and they´re the comfiest style aside from culottes, IMHO! Moreover, they go well with sneakers, sock boots, heels, flats and even mules. I´d wouldn´t say never again to skinny jeans but for now, the straight leg style is my current go-to. If you´ll see this in a different wash or color on my next posts, don´t tell me that I didn´t warn you. ;) top(old) - Easy Wear, jeans - Bershka, bag(old )- Bimba & Lola, mules(old )- Primark So what´s your fave jean style lately? Love, love, Che

Monday Remix: Mixing Prints

Image
Howdy! Do you still mix prints? I still do! top, culottes and shoes- Zara, tote ba g- Mango, necklace - Bimba & Lola, sunglasses - Massimo Dutti Although summer is in full swing right now, there are still days where the temperature drops to  21ÂșC maximum and so I can get by wearing a light knitted top over anything,; a pair of jeans, skirt or in this case my good ole  cullotes from three seasons ago. I just make sure that the colors/ color motiff blend with each other, in this case, I mix a black and white striped top with a same colored color combo of chevron prints at the bottom and there you go! I stayed with the two-color theme by wearing black Mary Janes and a black tote bag for a more harmonious ensemble but accented it with a shell necklace from Bimba & Lola which was scored from the sales about three years ago. So if like me you also do mix prints, what are the usual color combos you opt for? Have a lovely week ahead, y´all! :) Hugs, ...

WIWW: Casual in Lime Green

Image
Good morning, everyone! Here´s a what I wore look while spending the last days of 2017 in the south of Spain. We escaped to Seville to celebrate NY´s Eve and the first two days of 2018. Gosh, the weather was  a lot warmer in there though we had to wear a jacket in the early morning. Oh well, comparing to the northern part of Spain where we live, the temperature´s definitely twice higher in Seville! So I opted for a spring- y  look while staying there.😊😎 This lime green knitted top (AW17 sale find) never ended up in any of my blog posts whenenver I wear it and so I´m debuting it in the blog today. The jeans were another old winter sale find ( I´m into relaxed fit  these days, aren´t they so comfy?)  and busted out an old bag of mine from two years ago. The shoes were Gucci- esque, a lovely find from Portugal where we had an early autumn/fall trip last year which was actually like, three monhs ago, lol! top- Massimo Dutti, jeans- Mango, shoes- Seaside, ba...

Monday Remix: Khaki Monochrome

Image
Good morning, everyone! I´m showing you another outfit from my short Portuguese escapade about three weeks ago. As I was telling you last week, the weather there was still summery and so I made use of this shirt dress again and went for a monochromatic look in khaki: I always love a good monochromatic get-up because it´s pleasing to the eye, elongating and it looks chic. The funny thing was that I didn´t notice that the background was in green (and white)   as well until my aunt and my friends pointed it out to me when they saw these pics in my FB page. Looking at it now, my look blended really well with the background. 😊😉😃 shirt dress - Zara, tote bag -Longchamp le Pliage, sandals - Primark, sunglasses - Massimo Dutti I first wore the shirt dress last spring with a multi-colored chevron weaved bag and flat gladiator sandals: I´m planning to remix this dress again as a duster coat  but when, that´s the big question because the weather...

Monday Remix: Remixing The Fall Floral Dress

Image
Good morning, all! I´m still making the most of the summery days in here ( like up to 28ÂșC!) before the weather turns autumnal for good. For those who of you who don´t know my dressing preference, I´m usually a jeans and top kind of gal  but hey, once in a while I wear dresses too! 😊 Like this dress for example, florals with a dark background and prints are all the rage these days and so it´s time to remix this cute thing: dress(old) - Zara, sandals - Massimo Dutti, metallic clutch - Green Coast Since I´m not one who does a lot of mixing and matching on a piece of clothing, a change of accessory is usually my go to when it comes to changing the look. So this time, I paired the dress with a silvery- blue metallic leather clutch and black gladiator sandals for a fresher and lighter take from a previous outfit which you can see on the last pic at the bottom. floral dress - Zara, clutch - local store, sandals .- Massimo Dutti Pardon the blooper shot, we took this p...

Monday Remix: Red Is It!

Image
Hola, holaaa! Red is so IN this season,  btw, this color is always in whenever autumn and winter comes along. So stock on this color if you must! I love the all red look trend but  for those of you who´s afraid to take the all red look ( like I do, lol ) , why not start with a little something  like a red top ( for example) and build up your red fix from there? There are different shades of red you can choose from and while mine´s a tad darker than the tomato red trend happening right now, you can always opt for any of the hundred shades of red that are available in the market right now. It´s only a matter the type of red you like best and that´s it! I bought this top form the winter sales last year and it´s been my go to for those super casual days especially that we´re still having warm weather days around here ( lucky us!) .  I might segue into my lightly knitted jumper/ sweaters next or a red bag or red shoes. The choices are limitless...

WIWW: The Mili Green Dress

Image
Good morning, my darlings! Two more days and it´s officially fall/autumn on this side of the world. The weather´s been quite nippy these days although we still have a few sunny days in a week so it isn´t  bad. Here´s a transitional look that I suggest during those warm days: A shirt dress with an uneven hemline is the perfect in-between seasonal clothing for those sunny days in fall/autumn. This dress works two ways: worn on it´s on or used as a cover-up over pants/pants and top, et voila, outfit complete! You can always put on a cardigan over it when the temperature drops later in the afternoon. ;) Moreover, the military green color is a basic fall/autumn color and so you´re on `fleek´ with this dress.😉😊 I bought this dress in July but can´t seem to find it any more in the Zara website  but here are some options: 1st is this  and 2nd is this in mustard and gray color. dress and sandals - Zara, sunglasses - H&M,  bag - Bimba& Lola What ...

Monday Remix All Blue and Fuchshia

Image
Good morning, my darlings! Finally, it´s spring, yay! Have you done your spring cleaning? ;) I have but then last weekend, the temperatures dropped to  winter-y levels and so I´m back to my thick puffer jacket again. What´s new? This is one of those times of the year where the weather turns bright and summery to cold---- freezing cold in like... a day? Anyway, on those days where it´s sunny, I make do with a thick sweater/jumper like this one I´m wearing: It´s quite thick and warm still ( no need to put on a jacket with it)  and colored blue which pairs well with my dark indigo and black jeans too. Oh and speaking of colors and trends here´s a new addition to my clutch collection, a fuschia colored yummy clutch from Massimo Dutti: I got this from the latest winter sales. Since I already have a lot of pink stuff in my closet, I thought this lovely leather clutch would match perfectly with my spring and summer outfits which could either be in chambray, white or bl...

Monday Remix: How To Incorporate Leopard Into Your Wardrobe

Image
Hello, my darlings and Happy Halloween! Today, I´ll be talking about my leopard craze. Now I started late, in fact, I bought my first leopard skirt when I started blogging and that was in my 30s! For the neophyte leopard print wearers out there, here are some tips on how to incorporate this ubiquitous and gorgeous print into your wardrobe: 1. On your top with blue denim or with any solid colored pants. They´re a perfect match! 2. Skirts are a great option too . There are a lot of patterns and colors for this print, you can opt for the classic print and color such as this: or the snow leopard print like this one: I´ve had this skirt since 2013 and though I only use this skirt during the cold season (it´s quite thick for summer wearing) I can´t seem to part with it because of it´s neutral print and color.  3. Start small with accessories . You can with: a scarf in a neutral color or in a brighter color. The choices are endless! a clutch is...

Flyday Fridays: Scarf Season

Image
Helooo, hellooo! So yeah, it´s scarf season again, my dears! Although I collect scarves, I hardly ever wear one except when I´m on the train and trying to get some sleep ( scarf as a mini pillow=cool, hahaha!) . But scarves are really  outfit  game changers because they can make or break an outfit just like your bag and shoes. I snatched this colorful number from the Zara sales last summer thinking about wearing it this season although I´ve already debuted this a few months ago when the weather went chilly on us. Today, I saw this again and promisde to wear it more often because what´s the use of collecting something when you don´t wear it, right? Right! top - Mango, scarf , jeans(very old) - Zara, tote bag - PurificaciĂłn GarcĂa, flats - Aldo Have a lovely weekend ahead and oh, are your pumpkins ready? We don´t have that tradition here in Spain although everybody´s out on a mini-vacay ( us included) because it´s gonna be a long weekened ahead. H...

Monday Remix: Fall Colors and this Jacket

Image
Good morning, my dears! While black, white and blue( denim) are my go-to colors all year round, with fall, I always go for rich hued colors such as maroon/burgundy/marsala, forest green teal  blue and mustard. These are my favorite color tones which I think combines well with my dark hair and skin color than say the light colors of spring. I´ve been incorporating fall colors little by little into my outfits since September just like this olive green top to upgrade my fall look: I have this jacket/blazer for more than a year now. It´s one of those all terrain jackets  that you just grab from your closet when you have nothing to cover yourself with when the temperature drops outside. As for the accessories, I dug out this chunky multi-colored necklace from the dungeon that is my jewelry drawer. The trend for necklaces these days are delicate chokers but hey, we can wear anything that we like don´t we? ;) knit top, pants, necklace(old)  - Zara, jacket(old) ...

Monday Remix: Good Ole Blue Jeans and some Mustard

Image
Good morning, everyone! As usual, real life has gone hectic lately and so blogger life had to take a back seat the nth time. ;) The hub z and I are making the most of what´s left of his summer vacation and that includes visiting old faves like Saint Jean de Luz in the south of France. You know that summer´s about to end when you find an almost deserted beach on a weekend. It was a cool day yesterday, cloudy but not so cold either and so I wore my good ole pair of jeans with a flowy top with lace see through trimming and flats coz there´ll be lots of   walking strolling near the beach. No dipping for this ga l unless it´s 30 ÂșC outside, hahaha! I´m favoring tote bags  (to store the cardigan/ light jacket once it gets really cold aside from my kitchen sink, lol)  and mustard lately, they´re perfect to pair with black or white and is a classic fall color. You know me, I aways like to dress a season ahead although most of the time I´m always late in catching up ...
