WIWW: Pink, Rosettes and a Midi

Image
I´m going totally spring in my oufit today. Pastel and florals in one subtle mix, yey! You may have noticed that I´m on a style rut lately ( I can´t seem to stop wearing the pants and top combo) and so I pulled out this floral skirt and debuted it for the first time here in the blog. I´m a bit wary of  wearing midi skirts because I´m very short but with a little help from my trusty nude heels, problem´s solved though I still look like a floral stub, hahaha! The pink knitted top ( which you´ve already seen from Monday´s post last week ) and this skirt are part of my giant loot from the winter sales. You see, I have low EQ when it comes to sales shopping and it gets worse when the sales season gets extended for one to two months. So everytime I window shop, I can´t help but pick one or two pieces on my way out from the store especially if the prices gets lower and lower every week. Bad, bad hobby but I´m sure I´m not the only one who´s a sale hoarder here. *wink.. wink*

Monday Remix: White and Blue Jeans

Image
Hola, hola! There´s nothing to describe about what I wore today. Just the basics, ya know. Blue jeans + white button down + large tote + flats = minimalist. The hub z took these photos in just two clicks. I´m serious! Can´t you see that I only have one pose with my teeth showing and not? Okay, I´m getting loca , enough of this. #whenyouhaven´t got anything towritejuststop button down - H&M, jeans(old) - Zara, tote(old) - Misako I´m loving this minimalist phase of my outfit adventure, no fuss and not crass. Happy me! Ways I´ve worn this pair blue jeans: Happy Monday, luvs ! xoxo, Che PS: Linking up with Still being Molly´s Funday Monday , Fizz and Frosting´s Mix It Mondays , Style Elixir´s Style Sessions  and Laura´s Trend Spin . Join us!

Flyday Fridays: Florals on Top

Image
Happy Friday, dahlings! I was on a floral mode when these pics were taken. You can never go wrong with black pants and silver loafers, they sorta go with everything even when you wear big flowers on your top. ;) This look was part of my minimalist travel wardrobe ( sorry, forgot to take a photo of the whole lot before dumping them all in my luggage, hehe) while I was on a five day vacation in Portugal last week. I packed two black pants (and a pair of blue jeans that I wore on the way there), two pairs of shoes and assorted tops to mix and match. I just change my bags ( I brought two crossbody bags and a tote) and jewelry to create a different look everyday. My first look here . top and pants - Zara, loafers(old) -Fluchos, necklace(very old) - Forever 21 I NEVER wear heels when I travel because I want to be comfortable as possible while walking around so loafers and flats are my fave go-to shoes when I visit places during autumn and spring. Booties are usually used fo

WIWW: Cobalt, Black and a Dose of Color

Image
I love mixing rich colors and textures such as this combination: So today on WIWW, I´m `showcasing´  this satin skirt for the last time before it hibernates back into my closet until autumn. During the spring and the summer months, I usually gravitate towards light colors because of the heat but come night time, it´s always elegant to wear something dark. And hey, blue and black really look good together, no? ;) The necklace which you´ve already seen a number of times here in the blog completes my look for today. This ensemble could also be worn with flats for that casual look or open toed heels but I opted for pointed toed pumps because my feet gets cold easily and when my feet starts to get cold, I get cold all over, hahaha! top , necklace - Zara, skirt(very old) - Stradivarius, shoes - Zendra So would you wear this combination? ;) Hugs, Che PS: Linking up with the The Pleated Poppy´s What I Wore , Style Elixir´s Style Sessions , Because Shanna Said So´s Ra

Monday Remix: Pastel Pink

Image
Happy Monday, all! Today´s Monday Remix is about this dark skinny jeans which you´ve seen a million times in the blog, a blush pink pair of ballet flats that I bought four years ago and an old plaid scarf (another old stuff, hahaha!). This time I wore a pastel pink top( from the recent winter sales) and a colored crossbody bag to create another casual look for you today. I wore this casual chic ensemble while visiting the ruins of a Roman bath house in Braga, Portugal last Saturday. Hope you enjoyed the mix! :) top and jeans - Zara, scarf(old)- H&M, bag (winter 2013)- Bimba&Lola, flats(very old )- Ulanka I won´t be posting old outfit combinations of the black skinnies and ballet flats because I know that you´ve seen them a lot of times already. How did your Easter Sunday go? I spent mine in Aveiros, Portugal and it was so fun, will tell you about it soon! :) Hugs, Che PS: Linking up with Still Being Molly´s Funday Monday , Not Dead Yet Style´s Visible

Black Friday

Image
I´m stepping out from the blog today to commemorate the Lenten season. In the meantime, I ask you to offer prayers for those who are suffering, in one form or another and as cliché as it might sound, let´s hope for world peace (especially in the war ravaged countries of Africa and Europe and the political unrest in other parts of the world). Let there be peace amongst us! Love, Che

WIWW: Sweatshirt and Light Washed Jeans

Image
We had  an impromptu trip to Biarritz, France over the weekend and I wanted to wear something casual and comfy. So I wore this: A silver-gray sweatshirt, pale blue jeans and a purple tote bag for storing everything including my hat. ;) Don´t you just love my sweatshirt? It´s says Front Row S/S 14 but I´ve never been to any fashion show nor have sat near any fashion runway, hahaha! Well, I´ve been to a lot of beauty pageants, does that count as a fashion show? ;) It´s a bit chilly and rainy when I left our place but I was quite surprised when the weather actually turned sunny and nice in Biarritz. Although the weather channel was wrong this time, I´m glad it turned out for the best than what I anticipated. sweater and jeans - Zara, purple tote - Purificación García, shoes - Fluchos Spring´s arrive, so what are you wearing these days? I´d love to see your outfits too! xoxo, Che PS: linking up with Style Elixir´s Style Sessions , Because Shanna Said So´s Random

Monday Remix: Jazzing Up a Graphic Shirt

Image
Good morning, dears ! :) So how do you jazz up an embellished graphic shirt? Easy peasy. Just wear a cute skirt instead of the usual pants--> half tuck the shirt in, use a metallic clutch and finish with a pair of heels. Et, voila! :) And don´t forget to smile  though I felt silly smiling by myself just before the camera timer went off.  I bought the top when Custo Barcelona opened it´s pop-up store in 2011 in Passeig de Gracia en Barcelona and the skirt is another old find from Mango. top - Custo Barcelona, skirt(old )- Mango, clutch(old) -Pimkie, shoes - local store I first wore the top and skirt in 2012 and forgot about them last year, a hoarder problem , I know, hihi! So how do you dress up your shirts? xoxo, Che PS :  Linking up with Still being Molly´s Funday Monday , The Style Record´s Monday Must Haves , Style Elixir´s Style Sessions  and Laura´s Trend Spin  and Life´s a Party´s Stylish Tuesday . Join us!

Flyday Fridays: Scarf Kind of Day

Image
Hello, hello!   Dahlings , the light scarf season officially begins for me today. It´s that time of the year where it´s sunny, windy (just look at my hair!) and chilly at the same time  aka  spring. ;) So it´s time to bring out those light as a feather scarves for extra warmth on the neckline and they can also serve as fabulous accessories too! Oh and it´s best to wear them with monochromatic colors to bring out the fun prints and colors for more oomph on your outfit. ;) I bought this leopard printed scarf while visiting Toledo(Spain) last year then totally forgot about it (as usual, lol) until I saw it stuck between the other scarves while doing my spring cleaning. I´m debuting it with a black monochrome look to bring out the emerald green color of the print. top and pants - Zara, bag- Bimba & Lola , shoes - local store, scarf - local store(in Toledo, Spain) Have you started wearing light scarves? Have a fun weekend ahead! Love, lo

WIWW: Radiant Orchid

Image
Happy Wednesday, everyone! :) Finally, an outfit to celebrate Pantone´s color of the year, Radiant Orchid. If you´ve been a follower of this blog (since I started it), you´d know by now that purple is my favorite color. It´s lighter shade called mauve is even part of my wedding motif! So I´m glad that Pantone chose a shade close to purple for this year´s color. As for combining it with different colors, I tried mixing it with olive green pants for a different spring y look. cashmere top and clutch - local store, pants - Zara, shoes (old) - Blanco I set my camera to warm colors on the first four photos but the top´s actual color is lilac which you can see on the photo below. I just had to include this picture because of  the ¨grumpy face¨ formed by the top´s creases on my tummy. Can you see it? And no, my tummy doesn´t feel grumpy at all and nor do I, lol! :) More purplish colors coming soon. I laid low with purple these past years because I didn´t want to saturat

Monday Remix: Ikat

Happy Monday, all! I´m sharing with you some snippets of my visit to Granada(Spain) wearing a 2- year-old pair of ikat printed pants in red, white and blue. I knew that I was going to visit an exotic city with a very interesting history and so I came prepared. ;) top and shoes (very old) - local store, pants and jacket - Zara, bag - Longchamp le Pliage I wore this pants last year with argyle prints for some mix print styling and ... I first wore this exactly two years ago in 2012 when we visited Coimbra(Portugal) during the Holy Week. I hope to style this loud pair more with different textures, let´s see. ;) We had a sunny weekend last week, in fact it was summery hot than the usual mild spring weather. I hope to show you more street style photos soon, watch out for that. Oh and by the way, how´s your weekend? ;) Kisses, Che PS: Linking up with Not Dead Yet Style´s Visible Monday , Still Being Molly´s Funday Monday  and Fizz and Frosting´s Mix It , Styl
