Monday Remix: Remixing The Fall Floral Dress

Image
Good morning, all! I´m still making the most of the summery days in here ( like up to 28ºC!) before the weather turns autumnal for good. For those who of you who don´t know my dressing preference, I´m usually a jeans and top kind of gal  but hey, once in a while I wear dresses too! 😊 Like this dress for example, florals with a dark background and prints are all the rage these days and so it´s time to remix this cute thing: dress(old) - Zara, sandals - Massimo Dutti, metallic clutch - Green Coast Since I´m not one who does a lot of mixing and matching on a piece of clothing, a change of accessory is usually my go to when it comes to changing the look. So this time, I paired the dress with a silvery- blue metallic leather clutch and black gladiator sandals for a fresher and lighter take from a previous outfit which you can see on the last pic at the bottom. floral dress - Zara, clutch - local store, sandals .- Massimo Dutti Pardon the blooper shot, we took this p...

Monday Remix: Red Is It!

Image
Hola, holaaa! Red is so IN this season,  btw, this color is always in whenever autumn and winter comes along. So stock on this color if you must! I love the all red look trend but  for those of you who´s afraid to take the all red look ( like I do, lol ) , why not start with a little something  like a red top ( for example) and build up your red fix from there? There are different shades of red you can choose from and while mine´s a tad darker than the tomato red trend happening right now, you can always opt for any of the hundred shades of red that are available in the market right now. It´s only a matter the type of red you like best and that´s it! I bought this top form the winter sales last year and it´s been my go to for those super casual days especially that we´re still having warm weather days around here ( lucky us!) .  I might segue into my lightly knitted jumper/ sweaters next or a red bag or red shoes. The choices are limitless...

WIWW: Colorblocking Khaki

Image
Hello, hellooo! How´s the week so far? My Monday was spent having coffee and catching up with some friends and yesterday was ¨autumn cleaning¨ day. It´s the time of the year where the summer clothes go up the closet and the darker and thicker clothing goes down and because we still have a few summery days left, I made good use of my skirts like this tulle number in khaki: As the years go, I have noticed that my dressing aesthetic has gone much simpler like dressing in one color and wearing a multi-colored bag or in this case in a contrasting color to complete the look. I find that outfits like this doesn´t take much time to create, quite a no-brainer actually but always come out sleek, IMO. As  a plus, tulle skirts are actually perfect to wear on transitional weather because they´re actually warm on those chilly days and yes, the red orange and khaki is the perfect color block autumn combo for me. T-shirt - Burberry, skirt - Bershka(old), bag - Bimba&Lo...

Monday Remix: Super Casual

Image
Good morning, peeps! How did your wekend go? Mine was summery, for  realz ! I mean, the temperature´s really gone  loco  this season. Just when I was starting to wear tights and a thicker jacket, suddenly the weather changed her mind again and we´re having 26 ºC over the weekend. Really weird but I´m loving it though.  This was my outfit a few days ago. I think my student life has totally changed my dressing style from better to worse, hahaha! So to redeem my super casual outfit, I decided to colorblock my pink ish   top with a purple tote. It´s quite a subtle mix but I hope you noticed it. ;) top - Pimkie , jeans - Primark, shoes - Massimo Dutti, bag - Purificacion Garcia You´ve seen the black pants and loafers a lot of times in the blog but I first wore the purple tote here: So how´s the weather in your place? Hugs, Che PS: Linking up with Patti , Molly , Lauren , Rhea , Erin and Lauren . Link with us! :)

WIWW: Tiger Print

Image
Happy wild haired  windy Wednesday, luvs ! ;) The weather´s been going hot and cold(literally) these past days and though I stll can wear skirts, I had to wear tights with it too. Looks like the barelegged days has finally ended for this gal . ;) Anyway, I found this printed ¨strips¨ of a skirt at the tail end of the summer sales and thought this could make a great autumn outift because of it´s print. Leopard is hot nowadays but I prefer tiger, lol! ;) I paired it with  a marbled gray knitted jacket for some subtle mix printing and a peachy colored metallic clutch for some cutesy factor on the whole look. So what do you think? And because I´m a funny girl, here´s one last shot of my wild hair before I go. So fierce, no? Hahaha! jacket and clutch (summer sale )- Stradivarius, top and skirt(sale )- Zara, necklace(old) - H&M Enjoy the midweek, y´all ! Warm hugs, Che PS: Linking up with Lindsey , Shanna , Ayana and Keren , Victoria, Agi, Sharo...

Anchor White

Image
Good morning, darlings! And so I left again without saying a word, hahaha! Pardon the almost weeklong absence, I didn´t know that going back to school would take almost all of my blogging time. I´m practically swamped  with research and article writing assignments in almost all of my subjects and exams are coming too. I even had one last Friday! Gosh, I didn´t know that I would be studying this hard since my Chemistry Licensure Examination a million years ago, lol. So if you´ll find me gone again, you would know why. ;) Anyway, I´ve been starting to air out my favorite colored pants for my autumn outfits. You might have already seen this printed pair in a number of my posts and this time I paired it with an ivory colored cropped sweater and a white button down. The embroidered anchor on the sweater´s so cute not to take home and besides, it was 50% off, a too good of a deal, no? The weather´s still mild in here to wear thick sweaters/coats and so I make do with light layer...

WIWW: Yellow Mode

Image
Holaaaa! Oh well, it looks like autumn came on time because we´re having cooler weather this week to as low as 9ºC at night time. We still have sun but the air gets colder every time especially in the early morning. I´m not complaining though because finally I can wear my long sleeved knits and can layer as much as I can. I´m wearing yellow today to celebrate the fantastic summer that we had. It was really good while it lasted! :) I´ve already worn the blue necklace, brown leather clutch and yellow flats a lot of times here in the blog save for the floral skirt which I´ve worn only once in one of my WIWW posts and so this outfit might look similar to you. This is what I usually do when I create a new look, I mix old and new to create something new. Makes sense or no? ;) Pardon the gloomy pics, we took this on a very cloudy day a few weeks ago and yes, as usual my photos aren´t updated but I assure you, they go well with the cloudy and cold weather that we´re having to...

Anything Goes Monday: Last One and Some Firsts

Image
Happy Monday, dahlings ! I thought I wouldn´t be showing you any more ( at least for this year) a photo of this jacket but here´s the last one ( promise!) while we were in Cuenca, Spain last month. I paired it with a burgundy and white printed sweater, the only burgundy thing that I bought this fall to add to my wardrobe. For someone, who´s not really into online shopping(I want to touch and hold my ¨loot¨ before buying it), I finally succumbed to it through a friend. Here´s my first, a Zara two-tone sandals which was also on sale from their website: And while everyone´s busy over Thanksgiving, I was also busy preparing my fudgy brownies c/o Martha Stewart´s recipe . My first try came out really, really nice. Flaky on top, chewy and chocolatey inside. I sprinkled walnuts on top too for that extra crunchy bite: Finally, here´s a sneak peak of my post this Wednesday: So how´s your weekend? Still busy on the cyber sales? It´s the second of December and I feel and see C...

WIWW: Tartan and Black

Image
Hola, hola! :) It´s quite expensive to be on trend all the time. Would you like to know how to dress trendy without breaking the bank? Instead of buying that red tartan jacket/top/skirt you´ve been coveting this season, buy a pair of red tartan tights. It´s a lot cheaper and you´ll never worry if you´ll not be wearing it again next year because  trends come and go, ya know . ;) sweater and clutch(old )- Pimkie, skirt (old)- Bershka, necklace(old) - Blanco, tights - Primark, shoes(old) -Xti Then just pair it with anything you have in your closet, an all black palette would be perfec t. Finish off with your fave accessories and jewellery and you´re done. Easy peasy, no? ;) What´s your take on this trend? Today´s a Wednesday, I´m linking up with the Pleated Poppy´s What I Wore Wednesday , Kiwi Women Style´s Wardrobe Wednesday  and Style Elixir´s Style Sessions , Vodka Infused Lemonade´s Tres-Chic Fashion Thursday . Have fun with us! :) xoxo, Che ...

Flyday Fridays: Glimpses of Vila Franca and Montserrat

Image
Happy Friday, everyone! It´s still wet and cold in here with two minutes of sunshine once in a while and so let me entertain you with some pics and a summery outfit ( I wore this three weeks ago in sunny Catalonia) to liven up this bi-polar weather. On my last night and day in Vila Franca( in Alto Penedés), we toured around this medium sized town and wine capital of the Catalonian region of Spain. It has a wine museum which is a must-see when you stay here and a plus to the visit is that they offer a free wine and cava( champagne) tasting too! By the way, the famous Spanish winemakers Torres  can also be found here, all the more reason to come and visit this bustling town. I debuted my dotted peter pan collared top and fluoro flats for the first time here in the blog. I´ve worn these two a lot of times already but I still haven´t taken a picture of them together until now. It´s fall as you can see on the leaves in the photo but the weather feels like summer on this side...
