Flyday Fridays: Burgundy and Pink

Image
Hello to another windy and rainy Friday! We took these pics last Friday and it looks like today´s weather isn´t any different and is getting worse, hehe . I  hate it when storms visit on the weekend,  they ruin your perfectly planned Saturday to Sunday itinerary just after having a rough week. It kinda depresses me. Raise your hands if you feel it too! Anyway, as I´ve been telling you these days, I´m slowly incorporating light colored pieces into my outfit in preparation for spring. This time I whipped out my pink colored leather jacket to match with my burgundy sweater for some color pairing. As usual, I opted for another sweater over chambray combination  ( what´s new?)  and wore my new burgundy flats because I´m matchy-matchy, hahaha! By the way, I learned something after looking at these pics: Never wear a loose shirt untucked under your button down and sweater because it rides up in the middle and you´ll surely have a huge muffin top. And that my friends, happened to me,

WIWW: Plaids on Plaids

Image
I can really feel that spring´s coming because we´re having more sunny days than gloomy days, yey! Today on What I Wore Wednesday, I experimented with mixing two prints in the same pattern. Two plaid prints in almost the same color palette but with different textures. Of course, I had to add a pop of color to make the whole outfit stand out! So would you go for this look? tweed coat(old) - Massimo Dutti, top -Zara, skirt - Stradivarius, bag - Bimba&Lola That´s all for now, dahlings . Need to go and run some errands, enjoy your Wednesday! :) Hugs, Che PS: Linking up with The Pleated Poppy´s What I Wore Wednesday . Monday Remix: Winter White and Teal

Image
Hi, y´all! So here I am again, posing in front of my kitchen door. My photographer aka the hub z  isn´t available today and so I´m back shooting in my kitchen(again), I hope you don´t mind! ;) Here´s another winter white version with an ivory top which you´ve already seen me wear here in the blog and my favorite white pants. The furry clutch in teal is another recent addition to my growing clutch collection which doesn´t seem to stop, ooops ! I would like to call this as my winter farewell outfit although technically spring starts on the 3rd week of  March and snow´s coming this week. ;) top and clutch - Zara, pants- Pimkie, shoes- local store I´ve worn the top here: And the pants here: and with this black/white Mango sweater which accidentaly went into the hubby´s church donation pile early last year. Thank goodness, the Custo Barcelona clutch was safe because it´s Pantone´s color of 2014, whew ! So what´s your version of winter white? Nothing muc

Flyday Fridays: Snowed Out

Image
We´re a lucky bunch this winter because it´s unusually mild despite the usual chilly temps in the early morning and at night but most of the time, it´s sunny like spring if it doesn´t rain. It rarely snowed and if it did, it just melted away in a few hours. So just to see the snow, we travelled about 90 kms. from our place to the nearest ski station which is in Valdezcaray in La Rioja and look what we ended up with: Only a few leftovers on my feet because the temperature went high and almost all of the snow melted except those on the topmost part of the mountains, hahaha! So what my practical hub z did was ask me to stand on one side of  a snow playground for the kids. So there I was trying to look cool while children and their parents went sledding down below me, lol! It was so weird, funny and cold (it´s a very windy day) at the same time and I was laughing so hard while the hubz was clicking away. I wore this toasty vintage fur coat which was a gift from a dear frie

WIWW: Rosettes and Cream

Image
Hello, all! :) Finally, something flowery for spring! It´s been a while since I´ve worn florals in the blog and this pair of rosette printed pants pretty much ushers in the season of flowers which officially starts in a month. The cream colored top is another sale find and  here´s the third pair of pumps that I´ve collected lately. Nude, sexy and foot slimming! Does the word ¨foot slimming¨ exist? My sister congratulated me for being svelte just by looking at my feet in the photos, hahaha!  Anyway, how do I look?  Never mind that my kitchen door looks skewed, it´s my camera´s fault or rather the uneven surface where I placed my camerato take my photos  aka  the kitchen table, hehe . ;) top and pants - Zara, clutch and shoes - local store Girls, are you ready for spring? I hope you´ll have an exciting midweek, mine started with a slightly foggy and cloudy day and I think it´s gonna rain too, oh no! Hugs, Che PS: Linking up with Style Elixir´s Style Sessions ,

Monday Remix: Dear Cardigan

Image
Dear fave cardigan, Goodbye not because I don´t love you anymore but because I´ve abused you so much that I couldn´t take it anymore. Despite that you´ve loosened up (literally)  and pilled all over, I was still in a state of denial that you and I are still going strong but it´s so not true. Reality check told me to let you go and my heart´s breaking though you can´t see it in my smile. So as a fitting goodbye, I´ve worn you one last time with my new leopard printed circle skirt on a sunny but super windy and cold day. As always, you were there keeping me warm all over. Oh, how I wish you didn´t grow so old easily but it has been more than three years and we have to part so that I can move on. cardigan(very old) - New Yorker, skirt - Stradivarius, clutch(old) - Mango If you´ve forgotten how many times we´ve dated, these are just some of the ways that we´ve bonded a lot: It´s with a real heavy heart that I´ve to let you go but fret not  because you´ll always be reme

Flyday Fridays: Rainy Weekend in Bilbao

Image
Hi, all! It´s been more than a month since we went ¨out of town¨ and since we´re a couple with itchy feet, we drove to the nearest bustling city near our place last weekend which is Bilbao. I´ve featured Bilbao a lot of times here in the blog and so I´ll just make this short with some pics which were taken on a bleak, rainy afternoon. ;)   the 165-meter tall Iberdrola Tower , the tallest scrycraper in the Spanish basque Country at the moment the gothic St. James Cathedral probably built before Bilbao was founded in 1300 and the old opera house called Teatro Arriaga built in 1890 Since it was a rainy day, I wore black and lots of layers. Pardon the raccoon eyes and droopy eye bags, this happens when your bedtime is past 1am in the morning for the last couple of months which is surely becoming a habit. It´s so ooo bad, don´t follow me! pants(old)- Primark, boots(old)- Clarks, plaid shirt(old)- zara,  sweater- local store, poncho(very old)- Mango Bilbao is such

WIWW: V Date

Image
Valentine´s Day is here in just two days dear fashionistas, so what will you be wearing? Something red or black and sexy? ;) As for me, I´m experimenting on the sweater and tulle midi skirt combo. I´m a sweater girl ( well, who isn´t when it´s always cold outside the whole year) but wearing tulle? Now that´s another story. I think the last time I wore one was when I was 15 years old and feeling grown-up on our prom night, lol! I´m also adding some bling to jazz up the outfit: And a pair of black pumps and a red clutch (which I got on the current sales) for a grown-up but minimalist look. Not too formal, not too casual either, perfect for me! This outfit is also hubby approved when I showed it to him the other day. In case you´ll ask, he´s one of those guys who doesn´t care about tight sexy dresses which you can´t  hardly breath after putting it on but appreciates a modest but well dressed girl when he sees one. I guess I married the right guy, no? ;) So how´s th

Monday Remix: Brown Mili Coat

Image
Happy Monday, luvs ! Taking outfit photos on a windy day is no mean feat. We shot a lot of  bloopers and only got this photo right below.  T he shot above doesn´t count, that´s the testing shot, lol!) . Moving on, let me share with you this wool mili coat which doesn´t get shown in the blog often but worn a lot of times in real life. The coat has  a structured shoulder which is great for small shouldered petites like me and the brass buttons give it an air of fun. As for it´s dark brown color, I find it severe but hey, it´s a classic color and pretty hides much the stains/dirt until the next dry cleaning, hahaha! jacket(old) - Sandro, top and jeans(old )- Zara, booties and bag - Bimba&Lola I wore the coat while visiting the ruins of an ancient Roman amphitheatre(yep, it´s that old!) in Zaragoza, Spain way 2012. Then last December when  we visited Alicante, I used this as my top coat especially in the early mornings when it´s still very chilly. Do you have a mi
