Dressing Up For Me In Review 2016

Image
Hello, helloooo! :) So yeah, in two days, the year 2016 will be now called as ¨last year¨. Strange but true, hahaha! So how´s your 2016 so far? Mine´s been a very busy one, hence, I only had 31 posts ( about 25% of what I usually have excluding the year 2015). Maybe because real life ate a lot of my blogging time, I spent half of this year finishing my course ( I passed with a more than average grade, yey!) but I´m satisfied because I got to travel more although the pics didn´t end up on the blog, lol! As for what I wore, I lived in jeans and tops. Nothing new  although I did try and fell in love with some new trends this year. So here are my top twelve favorite looks of the year: 1. Denim You know me, I´m a denim lover through and through. I may not be a dress type of gal but if it´s in chambray/ denim, I´m all in! I tried the midi denim skirt too which wasn´t bad either. It´s just a question of proportion and what accessories to wear to be able  carry it with my very petite f

WIWW: A Denim Shirt Dress For Fall

Image
Hola, holaaa! In nine days it´s gonna be winter and so even if  today´s temperature dropped to less than 5 ºC, technically it´s  still fall, right? ;) Denim shirt dresses are starting to be closet staples. The stores even have it every season! Since I love denim or chambray shirt dresses, I hoarde them.So how do you prep up your summer denim shirt dress for the cold season? Easy peasy, just put on tights and a jacket over it and you´re good to go! It´s a no-brainer actually. 😄 Since I´m wearing neutral colors, I used a red envelope clutch for a pop of bright red to add some life to the whole look. And oh, a pair of heeled booties for additional inches to this vertically challenged girl too! jacket(old) - , shirt dress - Mango, shoes and clutch - Zara Hoping you´çre enjoying your mid- week, my darling fashionistas! :) Hugs, Che PS: Linking up with Victoria , Lindsay and Allison .

WIW: Autumnal Stripes

Image
Happy Wednesday, dears! I´m writing this post with the thick fog hovering outside our window and it´s already noon! Anyway, I just want to share this cute pair of palazzo pants that I got from Zara more than a month ago. If you live in a warm weather country right now, this is the best type of pants to celebrate autumn/fall without freezing and be on trend at the same time! Although the colors, blend well with the vegetation in here, sadly the cloth is quite thin for the chilly weather and so I had to wear clear tights under it. Oooops, TMI, hehe. Nevertheless, it´s quite an eye catching piece because I stood out in a sea of dark plain color outfits when I wore this, hahaha!😁 top and palazzo pants - Zara, shoes - Sfera, crossbody bag(very old )- Zara Have a lovely mid-week ahead! Hugs, Che PS: Linking up with Lindsay , Lauren , Allison , Victoria and Alisson . Join us! :)

Monday Remix: Fave Travel Bag and Jeans

Image
Good evening, my luvlies! Pardon, I got late in my posting sched for today because real life was busy since early morning today. Anyway, do you have a favorite travel bag and jeans to wear when you travel? I do and it´s this red bag which you´ve been seeing in almost all of my travel outfit posts. What can I say, it can fit all of my things and it´s red color complements with almost every look that I wear. As for this pair of slashed jeans, I only stopped wearing this because it got very cold in here and I didn´t want to freeze my knees and joints  aka old age, lol! I wore this very casual and minimalist look when we visited Villena, Alicante( Spain) sometime in October and since I´m always late in the posting game, I only get to post it today. I love, love this dark blue cardi with a faux fur trimming at the front. It´s quite warm but quite thin for this month´s weather and so it´s now back inside my closet again. jacket - Easy Wear( El Corte Inglés) , t op , jeans -

Monday Remix: Faux Leather Jacket

Image
Good morning, my luvlies! Eveybody should have a leather jacket. Real or faux, light or thick, brown, black or in any other color it doesn´t matter as long as you have one in your closet. It´s the best option that you could have when you don´t want to wear a bulky coat or puffer jacket and look like the ¨Michelin Man¨ when the temperature drops. Moreover, it drapes nicely on your chair when you sit down for coffee  than say your coat, no? 😏 Coincidentally, I tend to pair my black jacket with red. Black and red looks good together, so it´s either with a red shoes: With a red bag or a red plaid shirt dress: And even with a red skirt which I wore during winter last year! Eveybody should have a leather jacket.   There.. I said it the second time! 😁 Hugs, Che

WIWW: Metallic Stripes

Image
Good morning, girls! Just a short OOTD post to liven up the day. Aside from leopard, metallics are also IN this season. I opt for a metallic knit top in all fall colors. I wore this on a winter trip last December to the south of Spain, hence, the hotel room selfie (hahaha!).They do add some pizazz to an otherwise boring black outfit. ;) top( AW15)- Pull & Bear, jeans(old) - Zara, bag- Bimba & Lola, shoes - Massimo Dutti Have a lovely mid-week and oh for my US readers, you´ve got  a new Pressy! Lots pf luck on this one. Hugs, Che PS: Linking up with Lindsay .

Monday Remix: Gray on Gray

Image
Hi, all! There´s nothing more minimalist than the color gray and a simple shirt, right? I´ve had this Sandro shirt since last year and I can´t believe that I´ve worn it only once. It´s one of those thick shirts which are best worn in-between seasons which could be the reason why I hardly reach for it during summer. What I like about this top is are the color accents which I can go matchy-matchy with either bags or shoes. Lookie, lookie, it even complimented well with the background, hahaha! Okay so I´m babbling nonsense here.  Anyway, the gist of this post is that gray is a classic  and basic color which every girl should have in her closet and hey, if you don´t like wearing black, this is the next best alternative. ;) top - Sandro, jeans - Zara, bag- Michael Kors, loafers - Seaside Here´s how I wore the shirt last year, Nothing fancy, just paired it with a black crossbody and flats and I´m good to go! top -Sandro, jeans - Mango, crossbody bag( old) - Bimba & Lol

WIWW: Geometric and Black

Image
Hello, luvlies! It´s definitely tights season in here. I´ve had these photos in my draft folder since early spring when we visited the south of Spain but wasn´t able to publish them until now. Pattern trends come and go while some stay like gingham, plaids, florals, stripes or animals througout the year and almost always, we already have these stored in our closets  waiting for their time to shine depending on the season and what´s in. So once in a while I opt for fun prints like these geomietrc ones to spice up my wardrobe a bit no matter what season we are in. I wore this while visiting the National Museum of Romanesque Art, part of the building complex declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Mérida, Spain. A fitting skirt to wear actually because inside I saw ancient mosaic tiles which blended with my skirt pattern hahaha! top and skirt - Zara, jacket(old) - Stradivarius, shoes(old) - Massimo Dutti, bag - Michael Kors Do you care for fun prints? Hugs, Ch

Monday Remix: How To Incorporate Leopard Into Your Wardrobe

Image
Hello, my darlings and Happy Halloween! Today, I´ll be talking about my leopard craze. Now I started late, in fact, I bought my first leopard skirt when I started blogging and that was in my 30s! For the neophyte leopard print wearers out there, here are some tips on how to incorporate this ubiquitous and gorgeous print into your wardrobe: 1. On your top with blue denim or with any solid colored pants. They´re a perfect match! 2. Skirts are a great option too . There are a lot of patterns and colors for this print, you can opt for the classic print and color such as this: or the snow leopard print like this one: I´ve had this skirt since 2013 and though I only use this skirt during the cold season (it´s quite thick for summer wearing) I can´t seem to part with it because of it´s neutral print and color.  3. Start small with accessories . You can with: a scarf in a neutral color or in a brighter color. The choices are endless! a clutch is a g

Flyday Fridays: Scarf Season

Image
Helooo, hellooo! So yeah, it´s scarf season again, my dears! Although I collect scarves, I hardly ever wear one except when I´m on the train and trying to get some sleep ( scarf as a mini pillow=cool, hahaha!) . But scarves are really  outfit  game changers because they can make or break an outfit just like your bag and shoes. I snatched this colorful number from the Zara sales last summer thinking about wearing it this season although I´ve already debuted this a few months ago when the weather went chilly on us. Today, I saw this again and promisde to wear it more often because what´s the use of collecting something when you don´t wear it, right? Right! top - Mango, scarf , jeans(very old) - Zara, tote bag - Purificación García, flats - Aldo Have a lovely weekend ahead and oh, are your pumpkins ready? We don´t have that tradition here in Spain although everybody´s out on a mini-vacay ( us included) because it´s gonna be a long weekened ahead. Hugs! Ch

Monday Remix: Fall Colors and this Jacket

Image
Good morning, my dears! While black, white and blue( denim) are my go-to colors all year round, with fall, I always go for rich hued colors such as maroon/burgundy/marsala, forest green teal  blue and mustard. These are my favorite color tones which I think combines well with my dark hair and skin color than say the light colors of spring. I´ve been incorporating fall colors little by little into my outfits since September just like this olive green top to upgrade my fall look: I have this jacket/blazer for more than a year now. It´s one of those all terrain jackets  that you just grab from your closet when you have nothing to cover yourself with when the temperature drops outside. As for the accessories, I dug out this chunky multi-colored necklace from the dungeon that is my jewelry drawer. The trend for necklaces these days are delicate chokers but hey, we can wear anything that we like don´t we? ;) knit top, pants, necklace(old)  - Zara, jacket(old) - Stradivarius

WIWW: Dark Florals

Image
Hi, there! Continuing with our fall floral theme, here´s another look that I wore on our long weekend trip to Portugal about two weeks ago: Florals in dark tones are perfect for the autumn/fall season. It´s too bad that you can´t find this Zara dress though because this was last season´s. I bought this during the winter sales hoping to wear this this season which I did. Fact : I usually buy things ahead of season especially during the sales. They´re cheaper and you get to get ahead of the game, ;) If you´ve been following my blog, you´d know that I  rarely  wear dresses, it´s not that I don´t like them but I´m more of a mix and match type of girl and to be honest, it´s quite hard for me to remix a dress. I can do it by changing accessories but that´s just it. No pants under or skirt over it remix kind for this girl. So if I do buy one, it´s either white, denim/chambray or florals shirt dress types and I just play with what bag and shoes to combine it with. dress (a
