Flyday Fridays: Labraza

Image
Hola, hola! Today on Flyday Fridays, let´s not go far. I´m bringing you to the neighbors, just a few hills and mountains to where I live. ;) This tiny but picturesque place is called Labraza, a medieval walled town which sits on top of a hill in the Alava province of the Spanish Basque Region. The buildings and the walls surrounding the town are so well preserved such that this town won first place in the prestigious Walled Towns Friendship Circle in the world. At the back of the church which is actually near the town´s entrance is the cemetery. See those little white crosses over there? ;) Here´s a rare sighting of my photographer aka the hub z in the blog. He was at the right place at the right time and at the right angle of my camera and so I clicked away! ;) I found Iron Man´s lost dog, his name´s Felix the dog. Isn´t he cute? :) The church´s bell tower: And no, this wasn´t what I wore when I visited this place. lol! This was what I wore when we had an imp

WIWW: Black and White For Real

Image
When I first started wearing the Black and White trend last December ( yes, I caught on the trend so early) , it was a combination of these white pants, a marbled long back knitted top in black white and a fuchsia clutch which you can see here . It was black and white technically but not in separates as what other bloggers are usually wearing right now. So here´s my black and white trend version for real z : ;) My current ¨addicition¨ nowadays is collecting silky black tops. Here´s one of them in 3/4 sleeves and with a shirred neckline which I paired with gold and pearl necklace for a classic look. top - Mango, necklace - H&M The geometric clutch is another lucky late winter sale buy this year. It´s roomy and can fit a lot of things. It´s the perfect clutch for spring and I´m sure you´ll being seeing this cutie number in my future posts. ;) pants - Pimkie, clutch - Blanco What´s your take on the black and white trend? Have you tried it? By the way, I´m posing from

Anything Goes Monday: Denim and Gray

Image
Hello, Monday! :) While almost everyone out there is wearing shorts/skirts, bare legs and open toed shoes/sandals, here I am still wearing long sleeves, a knitted poncho and closed shoes! What can we do? The bad weather just wouldn´t fly away but hey, life must go on. So here´s what we do: First, let´s put on a smile: then use a bright colored clutch, don´t forget wear bright colored socks for your shoes and put on a brave face. chambray top - Sfera, poncho - Mango, jeans - Zara, clutch - Bershka That´s how we survive the cold in here, peeps ! How about you in there? And please don´t tell that you´re having a sunny and warm day in there because I´m going to pull my hair and roll on the floor. Joke! I´m a grown- up and have matured though I still stamp my feet when I get mad. ;) Anyway, here´s wishing all of you a beautiful week ahead. Enjoy! Flyday Fridays: Leggings and Snakeprint

Image
More than a week ago, the hub z  and I went on a day trip to the Navarre region of Spain and stopped by this former Benedictine monastery called Monastery of Irache in the town of Ayegui. It was one of those rare days ( in this climate change era) where it was sunny and cool and where you don´t need a winter jacket (in the middle of spring)  so I thought of wearing faux leather leggings, a long snake skin printed top to cover my front and bum (very important for legging wearers!)  and a long cardigan for layering and extra warmth because my top was pretty thin. The church was closed when we got there but it made the perfect background for a mini-photoshoot, don´t you think? ;) cardigan - Zara, top - Stradivarius, faux leather leggings - Primark, tote- Misako Just a few meters from the monastery you can find the bodega (winery) of Irache where you can taste some wine. This is a famous stopover in  the Navarre region for pilgrims going to Saint James of Compostel

Helloooo! Here´s another lazy girls guide to no-fuss dressing: Wear black from head to toe ( the ubiquitous uniform) and finish off with a pink necklace, a light pink leather jacket ( we´re in spring after all although winter´s never gone!) and a funky clutch. That´s it, you´re good to go! ;) top -Zara, jeans and necklace -H&M, clutch - Pimkie, leather jacket - thrifted, shoes - Xti Linking up with The Pleated Poppy´s What I Wore Wednesday , Kiwi Womens Style´ s Wardrobe Wednesday , Style Elixir´s Style Sessions . and Black.White.Color´s Trending Pretty Link Up . and Small Town Big Wardrobe´s Whatever Works Wednesday . Tuesday Finds: Spring Colors

Image
Hello, hello! I´ve added a new segment to my blog which you can see every Tuesday. Since my past time is usually window and/or sale shopping, I might as as well share with you the goodies and blings that I´ve seen in the stores nowadays. To start: Zara´s plastic(Perspex) minaudiere.  They come with a chain but I´m not sure if they´re detachable. They´re cute, funky and elegant if you choose the middle one but I can´t fit my life inside and so it´s a pass for me. Light blue top from a local store. I love the length, style and how it drapes on my body but the sleeves look so big for my arms. Pass. Aren´t these Zara flats pretty? ;) They´re the perfect colors to wear this season until summer. I was quite tempted to buy the yellow pair but in the end, I put it down. I was looking for a nice pair of brown leather flats so until I find my classic brown sandals, I can´t buy anything colored yet. They do look yummy, no? ) What about you? Have you found something interesting

Anything Goes Monday: Snow Leopard and Denim

Image
Hi there! Whenever I wear a denim jacket, I always feel like I went back to the 80s. You know teased hair, rolled up pants and lots of attitude. I bet most of you weren´t even born in that era. ;) I spent my first teenage years in that decade and yes, I´m that old. hahaha! Denim jackets are becoming a classic piece so you should have one in your closet. Instead of the usual jacket and jeans combo, I styled mine with a circle leopard printed skirt for a soft/ girly look because it´s not everyday that I wear a skirt. FYI, I am and will always be a jeans and top kind of  gal . ;) top , bag - Zara, skirt- Stradivarius, necklace - Blanco, denim jacket(old) - Kamiseta( Philippine brand) Today´s Monday, I´m linking up with Peacoats and Plaid´s T he Collective Blog Hop , Not Dead Yet Style´s Visible Monday Link Up , My Greatest Hits´ My Style Monday and My Thrifty Chic´s A nything and Everything Blog Hop . Flyday Fridays: Seville´s Itálica

Image
Hi, there! This post is a continuation of a series of posts about my latest Andalusian trip in southern Spain. If you love history and visiting any of the numerous Roman ruins in Spain, then this post is for you. ;) When the hub z and I stopped by Seville for  a day, we let go of the usual touristy monuments ( except for the Museum of Fine Arts in Seville) and instead explored the city´s outskirts a little. This is Itálica , an ancient Roman city founded in 206 BC. What was left of the city were columns, leftover parts of  walls and mosaic tiled floors, all part of the structures which once formed this ancient city. Surprisingly, the amphitheater was the most well-preserved structure of this almost 2,000 year old city but first here´s what I wore: The amphitheater: I´m sure there have been a lot of festivities that were celebrated in here during those times. Gladiators? Oh yeah, they could´ve fought in here. ;) These rectanguar pillars were part of the underground

WIWW: Mint and Breton Stripes

Image
Haloooo! Today, I´m going for stripes and animal prints as an accessory(clutch). It´s been a while since I wore stripes and so I pulled out this oldie Breton striped top and paired it with a jacquard mint pleated skirt for a spring- y look. I finished the whole look with a navy blue blazer and these brown clogs which you´ve already seen a lot in the blog,  hehe . The whole outfit is a twist to the usual nautical outfit of red/blue and white colors. ;) We´re back to winter mode again this week. Sigh! I hope you´re having a fabulous weather in your side of the world. top , skirt - Zara, shoes, clutch - Blanco, blazer - New Yorker Like all Wednesdays, I´m linking up with The Pleated Poppy´s What I Wore Wednesday , Kiwi Womens Style´s Wardrobe Wednesday , Rolled Up Pretty´s Whatever Whenever Wednesday , Style Elixir´s Style Sessions  and Dear Abby Leigh´s Dress for the Day  and Black.White.Color´s Trending Pretty Link Up . Click and have fun with us! :) Happy Wednes
