Anything Goes Monday: Tri-Colorblocking

We´re having a very sunny Monday in here, I hope that in your place you´re having a warm first day of the week too! Today, I´m posting some photos which we took two weeks ago while having a late afternoon paseo( stroll) around my street. Walking around wearing three colors( white not included) isn´t really my cup of tea( I´m matchy-matchy, ya know!) but I´m starting to think out of the box when it comes to combining colors. As long as they harmonize together and don´t clash I´m good with that. ;)

I think these colors look great together! I usually try to stick to similar colors too, but you get so much more out of your wardrobe when you try different items together. You styled this outfit perfectly!

These colors may not be your cuppa, but you make them really work well. They look fresh and mondern, with an effortless feel. Looks like you were paying attention to the world around you, but not trying too hard.

I wouldn't do it because I'm afraid of drawing too much attention to myself! And I don't want people to think "Uhh seriously? What is she thinking?!"

But YOU look really cute. And I don't think that about you. So perhaps no one would actually think that about me.

It doesn't change the fact that I'm a little bit of a fashion chicken. (Haha...fashion chicken...)

shirt dress converted to top - Zara ( from the sales last year) Lately, I´ve discovered that the extra pounds that I´ve unconsciously piled over the past years have finally settled comfortably on my face. Flyday Fridays: Paris (part 1)

The first time I went to Paris was in early spring. It was raining and gloomy but that didn´t stop me from falling in love with this romantic city. Here are some things to do and places to visit when you´re in Pa-gheee . ;) 1, 2, 3: Get lost inside le Louvre,  pass by   Mona Lisa´s room and get mesmerized by her coy smile and if you like ancient jewelry, be enthralled by the museum´s jewelry collection. Even the bishop´s crozier is bejeweled! 4: Admire the Sainte Chapelle´s amazing ceiling, structure and colorful stained glass windows. 5,6: Fall in line (entrance is free!) and admire the sculpture and stained windows of the Notre Dame. By this time you´re very tired and so take a rest at the park/garden at the back of the church. Later you can cross the small bridge and have your lunch at one of the numerous creperies and restaurants in the small island. 7,8: After a light lunch, take the metro and go to Montmartre and visit the Sacré Coeur....

Skirting the Issue

Halooo! So how´s your weekend? ;) Mine was spent visiting the new flat ( we just had the new sofa delivered, yey!) and last Saturday we went to this mini-food fair where they sell lots of goodies. I tasted some chorizos, jamon serrano, and a glass of white wine too. Too bad I forgot to take the camera so no photos to show you but we brought home some sweets which unfortunately we also gobbled up during the weekend. hihihi! At least I´ve spared you from breaking your diets this summer. ;) Truth be told, I don´t look good wearing high waisted skirts because I have wide hips ( I´m good at hiding them here ;) . Maybe I could pull off wearing them 10 yrs. ago when I still have a slimmer silhouette, er, smaller waistine and hips and a flatter middle but now everything especially my hips are expanding faster like the speed of light.
