Skirting the Issue

So how´s your weekend? ;) Mine was spent visiting the new flat ( we just had the new sofa delivered, yey!) and last Saturday we went to this mini-food fair where they sell lots of goodies. I tasted some chorizos, jamon serrano, and a glass of white wine too. Too bad I forgot to take the camera so no photos to show you but we brought home some sweets which unfortunately we also gobbled up during the weekend. hihihi! At least I´ve spared you from breaking your diets this summer. ;)

Truth be told, I don´t look good wearing high waisted skirts because I have wide hips( I´m good at hiding them here ;). Maybe I could pull off wearing them 10 yrs. ago when I still have a slimmer silhouette, er, smaller waistine and hips and a flatter middle but now everything especially my hips are expanding faster like the speed of light. So a mini-hipster skirt is just perfect for me.

floral top- Vero Moda

skirt- Mango ( summer sales 2008)

ring and silver bracelets- local Spanish stores

I´ll be leaving this humble abode soon and I´m going to really miss this shooting space. At least you´re going to see a different background for a change, no? ;)

Summer´s about to end, go out and have fun while there´s still sun! :)

PS: Just another ¨before bedtime¨shots and so excuse the raccoon eyes, ladies! ;)

Cheryl, wide hips are SEXY and curvaceous ! I have wide hips, too. My husband loves it! lol. I also love high-waisted skirts. You should try tucking your shirt or blouse in. I do this almost all the time with my high-waisted skirts. It's a very classy and retro look.

Thank you so much for your sweet comments and it made me feel better...all of your comments matter to me and even though we are worlds apart and just connected via the blogosphere world...everything seems to change when you know someone care for you!!!

Thank you for the inspiration, I am totally touched!

love the yellow top, I remembered yesterday from my FB horoscope that my lucky color is yellow.

I guess it does not matter with the color but with the people you get along with in time...

thank you for being one of them.

take care

LOL. I live the wide hips dilemma too. But the look is cute and refreshing. Best of luck with the shifting and decorating of the new place.

I can't remember the last time I wore a skirt on my hips! I'm definitely a fan of the high waist look, but this looks good on you (:
