Scarf Thing

A month ago, I found some beautiful silk scarves in the neghborhood thrift shop. One of them is this fab Italian scarf. It has an equestrian design. Meaning filled with horse drawings, horseshoes and the whole horse-y works. ;)






Any ideas how to tie a scarf? It´s square. The only thing I can do with this is tie around my head or my neck like this or the cowboy style which you all know. Oops, I´m not usually a scarf user so excuse the lame styling. lol! :)

This afternoon starts the grand fiesta of my city. I hope to show you some snaps of the festivities that we´ll be having around here until the weekend. Really lovely scarf! Could you try wearing it as a belt? Or a thin headband that you could wear in front? Maybe you could braid it through your hair?

I LOVE scarves and a have lot of ways to wear them! :) I like the design on yours too. Try searching online for ideas. If it's square, just do a triangle and tie it around your neck just like how you did it but twist the ribbon to the side of your neck. You can also wear it around your head and experiment with the width to what suits your face the most. You can either tie the knot behind your neck or above your head, like I usually do it. Good luck :)

Skirting the Issue

Halooo! So how´s your weekend? ;) Mine was spent visiting the new flat ( we just had the new sofa delivered, yey!) and last Saturday we went to this mini-food fair where they sell lots of goodies. I tasted some chorizos, jamon serrano, and a glass of white wine too. Too bad I forgot to take the camera so no photos to show you but we brought home some sweets which unfortunately we also gobbled up during the weekend. hihihi! At least I´ve spared you from breaking your diets this summer. ;) Truth be told, I don´t look good wearing high waisted skirts because I have wide hips ( I´m good at hiding them here ;) . Maybe I could pull off wearing them 10 yrs. ago when I still have a slimmer silhouette, er, smaller waistine and hips and a flatter middle but now everything especially my hips are expanding faster like the speed of light. Flyday Fridays: Paris (part 1)

The first time I went to Paris was in early spring. It was raining and gloomy but that didn´t stop me from falling in love with this romantic city. Here are some things to do and places to visit when you´re in Pa-gheee . ;) 1, 2, 3: Get lost inside le Louvre,  pass by   Mona Lisa´s room and get mesmerized by her coy smile and if you like ancient jewelry, be enthralled by the museum´s jewelry collection. Even the bishop´s crozier is bejeweled! 4: Admire the Sainte Chapelle´s amazing ceiling, structure and colorful stained glass windows. 5,6: Fall in line (entrance is free!) and admire the sculpture and stained windows of the Notre Dame. By this time you´re very tired and so take a rest at the park/garden at the back of the church. Later you can cross the small bridge and have your lunch at one of the numerous creperies and restaurants in the small island. 7,8: After a light lunch, take the metro and go to Montmartre and visit the Sacré Coeur.
