Lady in Red

Hello, dahlings!











Wearing:

red jacket- Zara
red sweater- Lefties
gray tiered dress- Pull&Bear
floral shoes- local Spanish brand

Yesterday the hubz invited me for lunch at the Monastery of Valvanera. So up we climbed by car into the mountains of La Rioja. There are a lot of mountain sanctuaries like this Spain, perfect places for instrospection, meditation and nature sightseeing at the same time. Everything is so peaceful and wonderful here! ;)

The not so nice thing is, it´s a quite cold up there even if the sun is shining (at last!) but I was well-prepared with an extra red jacket (for that extra warmth) because it was a bit windy. The wine helped too, for a young wine(2009) it was really good. Rioja wines are famous worldwide for their robust and fruity smell and very rich taste. You must try them! :) I must´ve drank more than I intended to because I got so drowsy inside the car, so to keep my mind occupied, I decided to take photos of my shoes. hihihi!

Looks like I´ve been wearing a lot of gray this week. Expect some color changes soon! So what´s keeping you busy this weekend, loves? ;)

I love the red blazer. And it sounds like such a lovely trip! And taking pictures of shoes is always a good way to keep from falling asleep!

I love the red and gray combo, Che! Hmm, you just gave me an idea, I should try it. It's certainly less predictable than a red/black combo.

Btw, to answer your q, the Zara dress is a halter. =) And about the other q, yes, we do have a walk-in closet in our bedroom but the dressing room is sort of an overflow, I NEED more space!!

I love the combo of grey and red, its so pretty because one is so cheery and the other is more somber! My favourite picture is with you and the giant wooden doorway. The colours of the wood with your outfit are just so pretty!

shirt dress converted to top - Zara ( from the sales last year) Lately, I´ve discovered that the extra pounds that I´ve unconsciously piled over the past years have finally settled comfortably on my face. Flyday Fridays: Paris (part 1)

The first time I went to Paris was in early spring. It was raining and gloomy but that didn´t stop me from falling in love with this romantic city. Here are some things to do and places to visit when you´re in Pa-gheee . ;) 1, 2, 3: Get lost inside le Louvre,  pass by   Mona Lisa´s room and get mesmerized by her coy smile and if you like ancient jewelry, be enthralled by the museum´s jewelry collection. Even the bishop´s crozier is bejeweled! 4: Admire the Sainte Chapelle´s amazing ceiling, structure and colorful stained glass windows. 5,6: Fall in line (entrance is free!) and admire the sculpture and stained windows of the Notre Dame. By this time you´re very tired and so take a rest at the park/garden at the back of the church. Later you can cross the small bridge and have your lunch at one of the numerous creperies and restaurants in the small island. 7,8: After a light lunch, take the metro and go to Montmartre and visit the Sacré Coeur....

Skirting the Issue

Halooo! So how´s your weekend? ;) Mine was spent visiting the new flat ( we just had the new sofa delivered, yey!) and last Saturday we went to this mini-food fair where they sell lots of goodies. I tasted some chorizos, jamon serrano, and a glass of white wine too. Too bad I forgot to take the camera so no photos to show you but we brought home some sweets which unfortunately we also gobbled up during the weekend. hihihi! At least I´ve spared you from breaking your diets this summer. ;) Truth be told, I don´t look good wearing high waisted skirts because I have wide hips ( I´m good at hiding them here ;) . Maybe I could pull off wearing them 10 yrs. ago when I still have a slimmer silhouette, er, smaller waistine and hips and a flatter middle but now everything especially my hips are expanding faster like the speed of light.
