Our New Home

Hi, everyone! How´s your week so far? ;)

bag- H&M,  flip flops- Ipanema

Yesterday we visited our new flat. I was thinking of going to a park or to the lake first( hence the flip flops) but we ended up visiting the MIL and then climbing more than 5 floors to reach the new flat since the elevator wasn´t  functioning yet. It´s a new building.This is going to be our new home soon but for now some things has to be done first  like re-painting the bedroom walls ( all were painted in white when we got the flat) and buying the furniture. I´ve realized that we´re going to be much poorer than before but at least we´ve got a new home that we can finally call our own. ;)

 Later, we visited the festival site once again, ate choripan( hotdog bun with Argentinian chorizo criollo) at the Argentinian stall  for dinner and had a strawberry crepe for dessert. And oh yes, Spain won over Brazil in the FIFA World Cup. Yohoo! ;)



So there goes my day yesterday. How about yours? ;)

Is there really a brand called "Pull & Bear"? I gotta tell my husband this! You're going to laugh. He calls me "Pula Bear" because of my nickname, "Red". I call him "Pogi Bear"! Haha.

Pretty shell bracelet! Glad you got a new place. We are living in a house, but it was my mother in law's. It's old. I would like to move into something new and not an old house that my husband grew up in! Have fun painting and decorating!!

shirt dress converted to top - Zara ( from the sales last year) Lately, I´ve discovered that the extra pounds that I´ve unconsciously piled over the past years have finally settled comfortably on my face. I´m going to hide my face for now. ;) Do you have a wgi (weight gain indicator and I made this up)  in your body? I do and it´s my face (aside from the muffin top). hehe!;) earrings - bazaar (Phils.) I love shirt dresses. They´re loose and they basically hide anything that you wanted to hide. Know what I mean? ;) One bad thing about this particular dress shirt though is the fit. It´s too loose, a bit short and it doesn´t look good with my mini ... and so a lot of rolling and folding was done to achieve the  laid back look that I wanted to create . Flyday Fridays: Paris (part 1)

The first time I went to Paris was in early spring. It was raining and gloomy but that didn´t stop me from falling in love with this romantic city. Here are some things to do and places to visit when you´re in Pa-gheee . ;) 1, 2, 3: Get lost inside le Louvre,  pass by   Mona Lisa´s room and get mesmerized by her coy smile and if you like ancient jewelry, be enthralled by the museum´s jewelry collection. Even the bishop´s crozier is bejeweled! 4: Admire the Sainte Chapelle´s amazing ceiling, structure and colorful stained glass windows. 5,6: Fall in line (entrance is free!) and admire the sculpture and stained windows of the Notre Dame. By this time you´re very tired and so take a rest at the park/garden at the back of the church. Later you can cross the small bridge and have your lunch at one of the numerous creperies and restaurants in the small island. 7,8: After a light lunch, take the metro and go to Montmartre and visit the Sacré Coeur....

Skirting the Issue

Halooo! So how´s your weekend? ;) Mine was spent visiting the new flat ( we just had the new sofa delivered, yey!) and last Saturday we went to this mini-food fair where they sell lots of goodies. I tasted some chorizos, jamon serrano, and a glass of white wine too. Too bad I forgot to take the camera so no photos to show you but we brought home some sweets which unfortunately we also gobbled up during the weekend. hihihi! At least I´ve spared you from breaking your diets this summer. ;) Truth be told, I don´t look good wearing high waisted skirts because I have wide hips ( I´m good at hiding them here ;) . Maybe I could pull off wearing them 10 yrs. ago when I still have a slimmer silhouette, er, smaller waistine and hips and a flatter middle but now everything especially my hips are expanding faster like the speed of light.
