Ladurée and The Medallions

While oggling these at the Louvre,

17th century medallions (bejewelled)

and enamel painted

I was imagining this at the same time.

Can´t help but think and drool on these...

The caramel and salted butter, citron and pistachio is a must but you can try all flavors! ;) They´re soft, chewy, yummy and they melt in your mouth. Haay! Even my sweeth tooth hubz agrees with me, totally. The not so nice thing is, they don´t come cheap. A small piece costs 1.50 euros. So I bought 100 grams ( 7.50 euros for 6 pieces, not bad at all!) Since I´m cheap(hehe!), I didn´t buy the box. A small box with 6 pieces of small macarons costs twice. The nicer and bigger the box, the higher the price. I just wanted to taste the
macarons. Maybe next time I´ll buy the box too, to keep my loose buttons. ;)

This is the Ladurée store at 75, Avenue des Champs Elysées. Go by the side door for your fill of French macarons. I waited about 15-20 minutes to get my mini-order. Lots of people inside but it was worth the wait. They speak perfect English too and so ordering was a breeze and a plus, the store attendants were very friendly. :)

Have a lovely weekend, dahlings!

PS: I´m actually back in Spain right now. See more my travel photos in my travel blog here.

I agree! The macarons taste wonderful! They are also expensive here (and maybe not as delicious as the real thing). :D

Che, when I read the title, isip ako ano koneksyon ng macaroons sa medallion except pareho sila nag-start sa letter M. Hehehe! I love Laduree too, I haven't tasted macaroons that can rival theirs. I love those medallions too... the enamel painted are so beautiful. xoxo
