Dieting and the Rosco

One of my eherm, NY Resolution is to limit my fat intake. You know, more veggies and fruits and less sweets and anything creamy. I´m sure every girl has this on her list by time she turns 18 or at most 21. ;) So on January 6, when every bakery in Spain whipped up this delicious confection, the hubz and I bought the smallest size. Just a teeny weeny slice for me to get by the day, I hoped.


But just one bite at this tasty slice completely changed my mind.This doesn´t look like an ordinary bread and cream. The whipped cream´s so rich and creamy, you´ll gonna have your seconds and third. Ooh lala! Must be the azahar on the cream. We liked it so much that we bought another box, the biggest, the following day. Looks like my NY Resolution will have to take a backseat until next week!


As a result, I wasn´t breathing and was trying to flatten my tummy when I took this photo. Good thing it turned out well with just one click. Okay, so I took a dozen, hehe.

The moto jacket was perfect in hiding the middle bulge while doing some errands and accompanying the hubz sale shopping. I don´t usually sale shop on the 1st two or three days unless I really wanted something especial. Too many people around makes me feel dizzy. This time I gave in because for the 1st time in our married life, my non-fashionista husband finally asked me to go with him to buy some sweaters and a shirt. It was so funny shopping with him because he kept asking me what´s the meaning of sizes S, M, L, XL and XXL! lol!

Finally, look what I found on my shoes on 3-Kings Day! The night before I  kidded asked the hubz that if I leave my shoes below the window, will the Wise Men leave me a gift? He quipped:  Possibly! So I did left them, et voila!  Some extra shopping money left by the Wise Men. ;)

My first week of the year is turning great so far and I hope this goes on until next year. Isn´t this what we´re all wishing for? So how about you in there? I know you´re so busy with your sale shopping right now so see you around in the next post. ;)

hahahhah I know how you feel kc i kept on saying to myself mag da diet na ako but when i see all the foods that i like.....

wow, 50 euros, that's another shoes. i love the plaid shorts with the plaid leggings. well, i like the overall outfit. hay, my husband won't go with me puro online shopping sya kaya pati ako nahawa narin especially now with RC ang hirap sa mall tumatakbo.

I love that jacket! Wishing you luck on your getting healthy journey. I've recently cut down my fat, sugar, dairy and junk intake (and I don't eat meat either) - not to lose weight but just to be healthier - and I can't tell you how awesome it feels :) you are just full of energy all the time!

O my goodness that donut/cream thing looks AMAZING. You only had a small piece? I would have had the entire thing!!! I remember being in Italy last year at all the sales. So stressful. I love your biker jacket. It's fantastic and so stylish. I bet its a classic that'll see you through years. Mine has!

Flyday Fridays: Paris (part 1)

The first time I went to Paris was in early spring. It was raining and gloomy but that didn´t stop me from falling in love with this romantic city. Here are some things to do and places to visit when you´re in Pa-gheee . ;) 1, 2, 3: Get lost inside le Louvre,  pass by   Mona Lisa´s room and get mesmerized by her coy smile and if you like ancient jewelry, be enthralled by the museum´s jewelry collection. Even the bishop´s crozier is bejeweled! 4: Admire the Sainte Chapelle´s amazing ceiling, structure and colorful stained glass windows. 5,6: Fall in line (entrance is free!) and admire the sculpture and stained windows of the Notre Dame. By this time you´re very tired and so take a rest at the park/garden at the back of the church. Later you can cross the small bridge and have your lunch at one of the numerous creperies and restaurants in the small island. 7,8: After a light lunch, take the metro and go to Montmartre and visit the Sacré Coeur....

Skirting the Issue

Halooo! So how´s your weekend? ;) Mine was spent visiting the new flat ( we just had the new sofa delivered, yey!) and last Saturday we went to this mini-food fair where they sell lots of goodies. I tasted some chorizos, jamon serrano, and a glass of white wine too. Too bad I forgot to take the camera so no photos to show you but we brought home some sweets which unfortunately we also gobbled up during the weekend. hihihi! At least I´ve spared you from breaking your diets this summer. ;) Truth be told, I don´t look good wearing high waisted skirts because I have wide hips ( I´m good at hiding them here ;) . Maybe I could pull off wearing them 10 yrs. ago when I still have a slimmer silhouette, er, smaller waistine and hips and a flatter middle but now everything especially my hips are expanding faster like the speed of light.
