Monday Remix: Black, Nude and a Touch of Blue

Lovely Monday, everyone!

I thought that I´ve finally gotten over with my neutral color dressing phase but what can I do, old habits die hard. I´m back again with nude and black, oops! You see, I wanted to take out a three year old pair of two-tone flats for a walk but got tired of thinking what other colors to pair it with so I took the lazy route, exactly matching it with what I saw when I opened my closet and that is nude and black, hahaha!

But hey, at least my necklace was in a beautiful cerulean blue color. I don´t usually buy necklaces with the same color but I don´t have anything in floral design and it was on sale(50% off, great deal!) and so I bit the bullet and bought this even if I already have a blue starfish necklace. As for my two-tone flats, it´s got double bows which have a life of their own, the black ones wouldn´t stay put!

You´ve already seen this caramel colored bag which I debuted last Monday wearing a dotted button down. This is my favorite nowadays and when I say fave, it means I can go wearing this for weeks without changing bags, lol.

We took these photos over the weekend while the weather was still loco and yes, we still wear long sleeved knits during summer in here! Weird, no? ;)

We´re back to having hot summer weather this week( thank goodness!) and so expect bare legs and sandals on my future posts. Sooo, how are you in your side of the world? :)

I am loving this color combination. I have wanted one of those rose statement necklaces badly. Very nice neutral sweater too. And yes our ballet flats are the same, mine are in the apple green and yours are in tan. =) Love them.

Major points with this outfit. You can never go wrong with neutrals + a pop of color. Now if I could just get my hands on a blue necklace like that I could totally recreate this outfit in the fall.

Here's where I envy you brunettes! I love your sweater, and have tried so hard to make that color work for me ... I adore blush shades. But it always looks icky on me. Dull, no matter what I put with it.

Flyday Fridays: Paris (part 1)

The first time I went to Paris was in early spring. It was raining and gloomy but that didn´t stop me from falling in love with this romantic city. Here are some things to do and places to visit when you´re in Pa-gheee . ;) 1, 2, 3: Get lost inside le Louvre,  pass by   Mona Lisa´s room and get mesmerized by her coy smile and if you like ancient jewelry, be enthralled by the museum´s jewelry collection. Even the bishop´s crozier is bejeweled! 4: Admire the Sainte Chapelle´s amazing ceiling, structure and colorful stained glass windows. 5,6: Fall in line (entrance is free!) and admire the sculpture and stained windows of the Notre Dame. By this time you´re very tired and so take a rest at the park/garden at the back of the church. Later you can cross the small bridge and have your lunch at one of the numerous creperies and restaurants in the small island. 7,8: After a light lunch, take the metro and go to Montmartre and visit the Sacré Coeur....

Skirting the Issue

Halooo! So how´s your weekend? ;) Mine was spent visiting the new flat ( we just had the new sofa delivered, yey!) and last Saturday we went to this mini-food fair where they sell lots of goodies. I tasted some chorizos, jamon serrano, and a glass of white wine too. Too bad I forgot to take the camera so no photos to show you but we brought home some sweets which unfortunately we also gobbled up during the weekend. hihihi! At least I´ve spared you from breaking your diets this summer. ;) Truth be told, I don´t look good wearing high waisted skirts because I have wide hips ( I´m good at hiding them here ;) . Maybe I could pull off wearing them 10 yrs. ago when I still have a slimmer silhouette, er, smaller waistine and hips and a flatter middle but now everything especially my hips are expanding faster like the speed of light.
