WIWW: Floral Power

Hola, holaaa!

2014-07-13 12.40.21

Don´t underestimate the power of floral prints, they can dress up or down an outfit and even make or break it. In my case, I chose to dress up this floral print number in black with cage heels and a metallic clutch. I hope I´m not breaking the whole look! ;)

Eversince I saw this pleated and poufy floral skirt hanging on one of the store racks while window shopping, I couldn´t forget about it. Buying it right away wasn´t an option because it´s regular price wasn´t compatible with my limited shopping budget. So I waited and waited until the sales season began praying that my size won´t sell out. Et voila, I got lucky because the day I went back it was still there, the last one hanging and in my size! :)

This is a casual  spring/summer skirt, I can´t wait to wear this with flats soon. :)

This skirt is one of my favorite kinds of pieces. A piece that gives you so many color choices to wear with it, but I like how you show that when in doubt black always goes! I'd love to see how you style it with mint or one of the lighter colors. Mint with brown accessories would look great too!

I love florals! They are totally my favorite trend of the season. You look awesome in this outfit. I love the black top with the bold black heels. It balances so well with the girly floral.

Thanks for your thrifting tip on my blog. I need to try that more. It's hard to find time...

This is very cute (as always)!! I do have a questions though. I've recently started wearing a lot of skirts, but I have a problem with tucking my shirts in. When I do it, they always seem to bunch up and you can see the bunching through the skirt. How do you keep your tucked in shirt tucked?? (If that makes sense)

That skirt is a steal! Floral is always summery.

Hi, Mionna!

I usually wear a light fitted top when I need to tuck it in my skirt or do the half tuck when I wear a flowy top.The top should just have the right length and not too long to prevent it from getting bulky inside your skirt. Also make sure that the waistline of your skirt fit just right, not too lose nor too tight. I hope I answered your question. :)

I love that skirt. However, I have to tell you I'm OBSESSED with that top! I have a similar one from another store I bought like a hundred years ago and I have yet to give it up - it's SO flattering. I have to see if Zara still has them!

That skirt is definitely beautiful and those sandals are also awesome. I would not have thought to pair the floral skirt with black but you did a great job with the shirt and sandals.

Che your floral skirt is so sweet and girly. The clutch and stilettos are sexy and edgy and keep the look from being too feminine. Great mix of soft and hard - love it. =)
