Anything Goes Monday: I´m Back

Hi, all!

I´m back and feeling better. The close friend which I´ve been telling you about last week was found and she´s survived together with her family. Thank God! Help for the typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda victims are coming in although there are still islands which needed a lot help. Thank you all for your prayers and help in cash or in kind, they´re very much appreciated. I´m hoping for a speedy recovery of the affected islands although I know that full recovery would take a long time to do so but hey, if there´s a will, there´s a way! :)

Here´s a what I wore selfie that I took  three weeks ago when we had a long weekend trip to the Catalonian region of Spain. I should´ve posted this a long time ago but wasn´t able to:

floral cardigan- H&M(old), top- Lefties(old), jeans- Zara, boots- Mango
While the boots and jeans remain a staple in my outfits nowadays, the 3/4 light floral cardigan has long since gone back into hiding in my closet. What I´ve been wearing these days are thick sweaters and  jackets because winter came in early. We even had snow last Friday.Where´s fall, by the way?

Oh Che, I am so glad to know your friend was found fine. I bet many are still traumatized and living in bad situations. Natural disasters are so unfortunate.

Good to hear the best news about your friends, Che! More of that, I hope! Terrible destruction.
It's still important to keep up spirits where we can, and I'm happy to see you looking pretty and chic. Glad you had a good time in Catalonia!

shirt dress converted to top - Zara ( from the sales last year) Lately, I´ve discovered that the extra pounds that I´ve unconsciously piled over the past years have finally settled comfortably on my face. Flyday Fridays: Paris (part 1)

The first time I went to Paris was in early spring. It was raining and gloomy but that didn´t stop me from falling in love with this romantic city. Here are some things to do and places to visit when you´re in Pa-gheee . ;) 1, 2, 3: Get lost inside le Louvre,  pass by   Mona Lisa´s room and get mesmerized by her coy smile and if you like ancient jewelry, be enthralled by the museum´s jewelry collection. Even the bishop´s crozier is bejeweled! 4: Admire the Sainte Chapelle´s amazing ceiling, structure and colorful stained glass windows. 5,6: Fall in line (entrance is free!) and admire the sculpture and stained windows of the Notre Dame. By this time you´re very tired and so take a rest at the park/garden at the back of the church. Later you can cross the small bridge and have your lunch at one of the numerous creperies and restaurants in the small island. 7,8: After a light lunch, take the metro and go to Montmartre and visit the Sacré Coeur....

Skirting the Issue

Halooo! So how´s your weekend? ;) Mine was spent visiting the new flat ( we just had the new sofa delivered, yey!) and last Saturday we went to this mini-food fair where they sell lots of goodies. I tasted some chorizos, jamon serrano, and a glass of white wine too. Too bad I forgot to take the camera so no photos to show you but we brought home some sweets which unfortunately we also gobbled up during the weekend. hihihi! At least I´ve spared you from breaking your diets this summer. ;) Truth be told, I don´t look good wearing high waisted skirts because I have wide hips ( I´m good at hiding them here ;) . Maybe I could pull off wearing them 10 yrs. ago when I still have a slimmer silhouette, er, smaller waistine and hips and a flatter middle but now everything especially my hips are expanding faster like the speed of light.
