Anything Goes Monday: The Weekender

Hey, guys!

How are you all? I had a very exciting long weekend and I can´t wait to share it with you here in the blog. But first, here´s a fitting room pic of a salmon colored ribbed sweater which I tried from Zara last week:

I didn´t buy this, I bought a red one with buttons at the back. I figured that Christmas comes first before spring and so I´m on a red wardrobe hunt these days. That´s the typical me, lol!

And... here´s a peek on what´s to come in the blog soon. Grape harvesting season´s just finished here in Spain and I´m busy visiting wineries here and there. The other week, I visited the neighboring La Rioja region while last weekend we went to the eastern part of Spain in Catalonia to visit two very famous bodegas (wineries) and to taste some wine and bubbly(sparkling wine). Wait for the wine posts soon!

Then off to the city of Tarragona, Spain by train for a short visit and take photos of this beautiful beach and something else which you´ll find very soon. ;)

There´s more to come and so come back here more often to see and learn something else from this sunny and still summery part of Spain.

Lucky! I want to go to a wine vineyard in Spain! Your pictures are divine! Thanks for stopping by Patti Cake. David is healing nicely, he is supposed to have stitches that dissipate, so hopefully we won't have to go get them taken out. Luckily he says it doesn't hurt at all. Thanks for liking our costumes!

Ya gotta go back and get that sweater. The little plaid top, too, if you don't already own it. So cool for this winter!!!! Right on trend!!!! Don't wait for spring or it won't be there!

Looking cute in the vineyards. We're in wine country, such as it is, in a state not known for wine.

shirt dress converted to top - Zara ( from the sales last year) Lately, I´ve discovered that the extra pounds that I´ve unconsciously piled over the past years have finally settled comfortably on my face. I´m going to hide my face for now. ;) Do you have a wgi (weight gain indicator and I made this up)  in your body? I do and it´s my face (aside from the muffin top). hehe!;) earrings - bazaar (Phils.) I love shirt dresses. They´re loose and they basically hide anything that you wanted to hide. Know what I mean? ;) One bad thing about this particular dress shirt though is the fit. Flyday Fridays: Paris (part 1)

The first time I went to Paris was in early spring. It was raining and gloomy but that didn´t stop me from falling in love with this romantic city. Here are some things to do and places to visit when you´re in Pa-gheee . ;) 1, 2, 3: Get lost inside le Louvre,  pass by   Mona Lisa´s room and get mesmerized by her coy smile and if you like ancient jewelry, be enthralled by the museum´s jewelry collection. Even the bishop´s crozier is bejeweled! 4: Admire the Sainte Chapelle´s amazing ceiling, structure and colorful stained glass windows. 5,6: Fall in line (entrance is free!) and admire the sculpture and stained windows of the Notre Dame. By this time you´re very tired and so take a rest at the park/garden at the back of the church. Later you can cross the small bridge and have your lunch at one of the numerous creperies and restaurants in the small island. 7,8: After a light lunch, take the metro and go to Montmartre and visit the Sacré Coeur....

Skirting the Issue

Halooo! So how´s your weekend? ;) Mine was spent visiting the new flat ( we just had the new sofa delivered, yey!) and last Saturday we went to this mini-food fair where they sell lots of goodies. I tasted some chorizos, jamon serrano, and a glass of white wine too. Too bad I forgot to take the camera so no photos to show you but we brought home some sweets which unfortunately we also gobbled up during the weekend. hihihi! At least I´ve spared you from breaking your diets this summer. ;) Truth be told, I don´t look good wearing high waisted skirts because I have wide hips ( I´m good at hiding them here ;) . Maybe I could pull off wearing them 10 yrs. ago when I still have a slimmer silhouette, er, smaller waistine and hips and a flatter middle but now everything especially my hips are expanding faster like the speed of light.
