WIWW: Cheetah and Navy Blue

Image
Happy Wednesday, world! Still taking outfit photos from my kitchen door. ;) This navy blue skirt has been lying crumpled inside my closet since last year because I don´t know what to wear with it.  Fortunately, I was in a *cough* creative mood the other day and tried matching the skirt with this cheetah printed top which I´ve already worn here and here . The result? Classic and  fun at the same time! The gold belt, pearls on the neck, bangle and cocktail ring sorta finished the whole look. What do you think?  :) So have you tried matching navy blue and animal prints lately? Here´s the whole outfit paired with navy blue tights: top - Zara, skirt - Mango, shoes -Xti, necklace and belt- Blanco Like all Wednesdays, I´m linking up with with The Pleated Poppy´s What I Wore Wednesday and Rolled Up Pretty´s Whatever Whenever Wednesday . Come join us! :) xoxo, Che

Anything Goes Monday: Going Green

Image
It´s official, green or to be exact emerald green is the color of the year. It´s time to do an inventory of your jewelry box and see if  you have any green jewelry lying around. I´ve just found mine! ;) Next, scour for a green top in your closet, you don´t have to buy a new one if you already have them. Just mix and match with whatever you have and I´m sure it would work just fine. Green goes well with any light colored bottom, I paired mine with white jeans. Clean pairing and perfect for me! :) top - Zara, belt - Blanco, jeans - Pimke To finish the casual look, wear a pair of of silver studded emerald flats or any kind of shoes and then you´re ready to paint the town green! So are you ready to go green ? ;) Happy Monday, all! Che

Flyday Fridays: Paris (part 1)

Image
The first time I went to Paris was in early spring. It was raining and gloomy but that didn´t stop me from falling in love with this romantic city. Here are some things to do and places to visit when you´re in Pa-gheee . ;) 1, 2, 3: Get lost inside le Louvre,  pass by   Mona Lisa´s room and get mesmerized by her coy smile and if you like ancient jewelry, be enthralled by the museum´s jewelry collection. Even the bishop´s crozier is bejeweled! 4: Admire the Sainte Chapelle´s amazing ceiling, structure and colorful stained glass windows. 5,6: Fall in line (entrance is free!) and admire the sculpture and stained windows of the Notre Dame. By this time you´re very tired and so take a rest at the park/garden at the back of the church. Later you can cross the small bridge and have your lunch at one of the numerous creperies and restaurants in the small island. 7,8: After a light lunch, take the metro and go to Montmartre and visit the Sacré Coeur....

WIWW: Flowers in Winter

Image
Holaaa! I´m wearing a dress! So unusual, no, becauseI hardly ever wear one. hahaha! ;) This dress doesn´t need  much accesorizing but just for fun, I added a chain link necklace in tangerine and gold: and a multi-colored ring because I´m matchy-matchy like that , et voila! As for the shoes, I wore my ever reliable pointy leather boots for some edginess because I don´t want the whole outfit too look too girly girl . ;)  I forgot to bring out the clutch to go with this dress,  hehe!  In a few months time, you´ll be seeing this dress again  albeit styled differently. You see, I love remixing clothes. Shouldn´t we all? ;) dress - Primark, necklace - Blanco, boots - thrifted Time for link ups! Like every Wednesdays, I´m linking up with The Pleated Poppy´s What I Wore Wednesday and Rolled Up Pretty´s Whatever Whenever Wednesday  and Followers to Friends Blog Party . Click and have fun! :) So are you wearing floral...

Anything Goes Monday: Mini Arm Party

Image
Happy Monday, everyone! ;) It´s been a while since I´ve done a bling post so while we´re at it, here´s a compilation of my favorite bracelets and bangles that I´ve worn in 2012. I have a tiny wrist and a short arm so I can´t stack as much bracelets as I want to like most of the other girls out there  and by the way,  I don´t normally wear bracelets in winter. Why? They snag on my jacket/coat and sweater and I´m afraid that they´ll fall and get lost because I can´t see them. lol! So bracelets/ bangles are a no-no for me during winter. What about you? :) If you have noticed, I have some pieces that I mix and match most of the time. They´re not really my faves but if they go with anything, so why not, no? ;) So what are your fave bracelet/s to mix and match in your arm party? :) Curious, Che

Food Weekend: Train Food

Image
The hub z is a train fanatic. Whenever we do long distance travelling within Spain, he always choose the train than say travel by car. I don´t blame him, although a lot of people love travelling by car, it can be very tiresome. As for taking the train, you only have to sit, read a little and sleep. As for the meals, train food isn´t bad either. We just make sure to get Preferente tickets and lunch/dinner and dessert are served free together with your choice of wine/ non-alcoholic beverage, coffee and chocolate to end the meal. ;) Chicken in port wine sauce with couscous: Hake fish with steamed veggies and wild rice: Chicken with dried dates and pine nuts with baked potatoes: By the way, on a non-related topic, here´s what I´ve been wearing these days: coat - Zara, pants - Promod, bag - Blanco Pants, winter jacket and rain shoes. It´s been raining non-stop here in my city, I can´t just dress up as much as I want to. Haaay! So how´s your weekend? xoxo, Che

Flyday Fridays: Málaga City (Part 2)

Image
It´s another Friday once again! Here´s the last of my Málaga travel photos before they become overly stale. ;) First, a photo on the steps of the Cathedral of Málaga taken on my second day. A   neon top to go with my gray skirt to perk me up because I had full-blown colds during this time. *sniff*sniff* For the modern art lovers out there, the CAC( Museum of Modern Art) is very promising. In fact, it´s said that it´s the most visted modern museum in the Andalusian region. :) We also took a tour at the Alcazaba , the most preserved Arabic fortress here in Spain. A visit to Málaga is never complete without a short stop at the Museo Picasso, fyi, Málaga was the birthplace of the most famous modern Spanish painter Pablo Picasso. It was here were he spent his formative years. To cap the day off, I had this photo taken in one of the main plazas at one of the main shopping districts. There were decorations such as these in almost all plazas around the...

WIWW: Bejeweled

Image
Hello, hello! Today´s WIWW outfit is colorrific as ever! I´m still not over the printed pants trend yet so here´s a new addition to my growing collection, a pair of jewel printed pants with black side stripes. ;) The print reminded me of that computer game ¨Bejeweled¨ , have you played that? I wore this outfit last Sunday  and it´s so refreshing to be wearing something different when you see mostly black and brown colors on the street. What I love most about the print is that you can match it with a lot of solid tops which for me is A-okay in my book. The more color it has, the better it is for remixing. Just add some sequins ( for something quirky) and jewelry to match and you´re good to go! :) It´s the perfect outfit to wear too in this gloomy weather that we´re having right now! pants and clutch - Blanco, shoes - Xti So do you have something bejeweled in your closet? ;) Today´s a Wednesday! Time for link- ups, join us at The Pleated Poppy´s What I Wo...

Anything Goes Monday: What´s Your Color?

Image
Halooo, all! So how did your weekend go? Mine was cold and wet as usual . I wouldn´t have minded if it snowed a little because we have yet to have our first snow this season but all that´s falling is rain, lots of rain! Like most of you, I tend to dress in black and gray on the cold days but on days when I need some sunshine on a cloudy day, I wear color. Oh wait,  do you know which color matches with your skin tone and what colors to match or complement? Here´s a color wheel to guide you: source And whether your skin tone´s a cool tone or a warm tone ( like me!) , here´s a very informative read/guide to know the most flattering color for your skin tone. Click here . ;) If you´re still at a loss, you only need two things: a mirror and your guts and off you go! ;) And speaking about colors, here´s my latest acquisition from the sales: top - Primark, shorts - Stradivarius Yup, another faux leather piece and it´s in metallic blue! Don´t think much about that face co...

Flyday Friday: Ronda

Image
Today´s Flyday Friday post is dedicated to this old town on the cliff, Ronda , a picturesque Spanish town 100 kilometers from the city of Málaga. Discovering this bucolic place was by accident. While having our  traditional Christmas lunch at the home of the hubby´s older cousin, somebody suggested that we should visit Ronda after I´ve told them that we´re spending the Christmas break at Málaga. I´m so glad that we took their advice because this is such a beautiful place to ignore when you´re staying in Málaga. See for yourself! ;) As I´ve been telling you, the hub z finds it so cute to see so many orange trees around ,  so here´s another photo of me under an orange tree. Ande here´s more.. Although we´re true blue La Rioja wine drinkers ( we live almost near the La Rioja border) , we also love to try on wines from the different regions of Spain. The south of Spain is famous for it´s sweet wine/ dessert wine but they also produce red and white wine. He...
