This Mustard Top

Hello, hello!

Was planning on doing my bi-annual closet cleaning but it looks like I´m gonna postpone it for now because the hot days are back with a vengeance! Yup, summer´s decided to extend it´s stay, my darlings. At least on this side of the world.

On another news, today ends the 3-day Medieval Fair in my city. Sorry, no fair photos nor outfit photos outside because  it was jampacked with lots of things but I did took some them indoor photos right before we went out. Will these do? ;)

This light jersey top can be styled in multiple ways: as an off-shouldered top, pulled down a la shirt dress or just a normal top shirred at the waist. I opted for the latter because I´m wearing a skirt and it´s too hot to go off-shoulder. Wouldn´t want to burn just one side of my shoulder blade, ya know. ;)

Since it was quite chilly in the early morning, I put on an ancient denim jacket ( say10 years old?) to keep me warm. Yep, you read that right, it´s a decade old jacket AND it still fits me to a T. Woohoo! I had to leave it unbuttoned, though. lol!

shirt dress converted to top - Zara ( from the sales last year) Lately, I´ve discovered that the extra pounds that I´ve unconsciously piled over the past years have finally settled comfortably on my face. Flyday Fridays: Paris (part 1)

The first time I went to Paris was in early spring. It was raining and gloomy but that didn´t stop me from falling in love with this romantic city. Here are some things to do and places to visit when you´re in Pa-gheee . ;) 1, 2, 3: Get lost inside le Louvre,  pass by   Mona Lisa´s room and get mesmerized by her coy smile and if you like ancient jewelry, be enthralled by the museum´s jewelry collection. Even the bishop´s crozier is bejeweled! 4: Admire the Sainte Chapelle´s amazing ceiling, structure and colorful stained glass windows. 5,6: Fall in line (entrance is free!) and admire the sculpture and stained windows of the Notre Dame. By this time you´re very tired and so take a rest at the park/garden at the back of the church. Later you can cross the small bridge and have your lunch at one of the numerous creperies and restaurants in the small island. 7,8: After a light lunch, take the metro and go to Montmartre and visit the Sacré Coeur....

Skirting the Issue

Halooo! So how´s your weekend? ;) Mine was spent visiting the new flat ( we just had the new sofa delivered, yey!) and last Saturday we went to this mini-food fair where they sell lots of goodies. I tasted some chorizos, jamon serrano, and a glass of white wine too. Too bad I forgot to take the camera so no photos to show you but we brought home some sweets which unfortunately we also gobbled up during the weekend. hihihi! At least I´ve spared you from breaking your diets this summer. ;) Truth be told, I don´t look good wearing high waisted skirts because I have wide hips ( I´m good at hiding them here ;) . Maybe I could pull off wearing them 10 yrs. ago when I still have a slimmer silhouette, er, smaller waistine and hips and a flatter middle but now everything especially my hips are expanding faster like the speed of light.
