WIWW: Chambray Shirt Dress

I love wearing shirt dresses aside from shorts/skirts on really hot days. They look effortless and are so comfy. You just put on colored accessories to make them look fasyon and you´re good to go. :)

So on our second day in Portugal and on a 23 ºC weather( Halleluhaj!), I took out this dress  with the colored sandals for walking around towns( we visited 4 in one day!) and to visit a port winery up on the mountains.

These thin leather bracelets have been with me for about four years now. I´m still crazy about them because they´re light, colorful and easy to mix and match. The latest addition to my leather bracelet/bangle collection is the one on the far right with a turquoise stone in the middle. I bought it from a local fair in here and it´s my favorite go-to bracelet these days. :)

Anyway, the only problem with wearing shirt dress is that you get those curious stares once in a while. Why? Because it´s a question of  ¨Is that a dress?¨ or ¨  Is that a long top and she´s forgotten to wear her pants? ¨ lol!

Flyday Fridays: Paris (part 1)

The first time I went to Paris was in early spring. It was raining and gloomy but that didn´t stop me from falling in love with this romantic city. Here are some things to do and places to visit when you´re in Pa-gheee . ;) 1, 2, 3: Get lost inside le Louvre,  pass by   Mona Lisa´s room and get mesmerized by her coy smile and if you like ancient jewelry, be enthralled by the museum´s jewelry collection. Even the bishop´s crozier is bejeweled! 4: Admire the Sainte Chapelle´s amazing ceiling, structure and colorful stained glass windows. 5,6: Fall in line (entrance is free!) and admire the sculpture and stained windows of the Notre Dame. By this time you´re very tired and so take a rest at the park/garden at the back of the church. Later you can cross the small bridge and have your lunch at one of the numerous creperies and restaurants in the small island. 7,8: After a light lunch, take the metro and go to Montmartre and visit the Sacré Coeur....

Skirting the Issue

Halooo! So how´s your weekend? ;) Mine was spent visiting the new flat ( we just had the new sofa delivered, yey!) and last Saturday we went to this mini-food fair where they sell lots of goodies. I tasted some chorizos, jamon serrano, and a glass of white wine too. Too bad I forgot to take the camera so no photos to show you but we brought home some sweets which unfortunately we also gobbled up during the weekend. hihihi! At least I´ve spared you from breaking your diets this summer. ;) Truth be told, I don´t look good wearing high waisted skirts because I have wide hips ( I´m good at hiding them here ;) . Maybe I could pull off wearing them 10 yrs. ago when I still have a slimmer silhouette, er, smaller waistine and hips and a flatter middle but now everything especially my hips are expanding faster like the speed of light.
