Anything Goes Monday: Hello, Mod Liebster!

And... I´m back!

I had a very exhausting yet very exciting weekend in the mountains of the Douro region in Portugal. So how´s your weekend?

I´ll be posting about my Portuguese trip soon, pictures and all. In the meantime, here´s a modified Liebster which I borrowed and I´m sharing with you from Jan of Fort Smith Stylista. Have a read and you can copy  the same questions too and answer them in your blog or you can modify them if you want. ;)

1. Summer's almost here ... STYLE-wise, what are you most looking forward to?
- casual basic: tees/light and bright colored tops, shorts/ mini skirts and open toe sandals

 2. Conversely, what is your biggest summertime STYLE challenge?
- wearing maxi dresses because I´m so tiny and I don´t like to wear tall wedges all the time. ;)

3. Poolside cocktails or water bottle at the beach? (Do you sense a theme  here?)
- Bottled/flavored water especially when it´s super hot outside.

4. What was you favorite food when you were a kid?
- pan fried shrimps and I was allergic to them when I was a kid, lol! It´s a good thing that I can eat them right now without the rashes coming out anymore. ;)

5. What recent film do you most regret missing?
- The Hobbit. I missed that one because I´m a Lord of the Rings fanatic!

6. What's your favorite perfume?
- Amor Amor´s Eau de toilette by Cacharel. It´s sweet but not overpowering to my sensitive nose :)

7. Your spouse (or spousal equivalent or significant other) gives you a little Tiffany-blue gift box, tied up with white silk ribbon. What's in it? (Don't be afraid to dream a little!)
- a gold/silver bangle with diamonds on it and yes, this is a dream, hahaha!

8. Who is your favorite character from any of the Harry Potter books?
- Hermione Jean Granger. Despite being born to`muggle´ parents, she´s turned out to be a magnificent witch.

9. What will you next pair of shoes look like? (Again, don't be afraid to dream.)
- a pair of nude pointed pumps because I´m still looking for the perfect pair for my tiny feet.

10. What was your favorite subject in school?
- Chemistry because I love mixing colors and actually I´m a licensed chemist in my natal country in real life. ;)

11. What was your least favorite subject in school?
- Physics because I can´t visualize ¨ force¨. Can you?

I chose Hermione as my favourite too. I haven't even tried wearing a maxi dress. I am short too and am just not sure about the silhouette on me.

shirt dress converted to top - Zara ( from the sales last year) Lately, I´ve discovered that the extra pounds that I´ve unconsciously piled over the past years have finally settled comfortably on my face. I´m going to hide my face for now. ;) Do you have a wgi (weight gain indicator and I made this up)  in your body? I do and it´s my face (aside from the muffin top). hehe!;) earrings - bazaar (Phils.) I love shirt dresses. They´re loose and they basically hide anything that you wanted to hide. Know what I mean? ;) One bad thing about this particular dress shirt though is the fit. It´s too loose, a bit short and it doesn´t look good with my mini ... and so a lot of rolling and folding was done to achieve the  laid back look that I wanted to create . Flyday Fridays: Paris (part 1)

The first time I went to Paris was in early spring. It was raining and gloomy but that didn´t stop me from falling in love with this romantic city. Here are some things to do and places to visit when you´re in Pa-gheee . ;) 1, 2, 3: Get lost inside le Louvre,  pass by   Mona Lisa´s room and get mesmerized by her coy smile and if you like ancient jewelry, be enthralled by the museum´s jewelry collection. Even the bishop´s crozier is bejeweled! 4: Admire the Sainte Chapelle´s amazing ceiling, structure and colorful stained glass windows. 5,6: Fall in line (entrance is free!) and admire the sculpture and stained windows of the Notre Dame. By this time you´re very tired and so take a rest at the park/garden at the back of the church. Later you can cross the small bridge and have your lunch at one of the numerous creperies and restaurants in the small island. 7,8: After a light lunch, take the metro and go to Montmartre and visit the Sacré Coeur....

Skirting the Issue

Halooo! So how´s your weekend? ;) Mine was spent visiting the new flat ( we just had the new sofa delivered, yey!) and last Saturday we went to this mini-food fair where they sell lots of goodies. I tasted some chorizos, jamon serrano, and a glass of white wine too. Too bad I forgot to take the camera so no photos to show you but we brought home some sweets which unfortunately we also gobbled up during the weekend. hihihi! At least I´ve spared you from breaking your diets this summer. ;) Truth be told, I don´t look good wearing high waisted skirts because I have wide hips ( I´m good at hiding them here ;) . Maybe I could pull off wearing them 10 yrs. ago when I still have a slimmer silhouette, er, smaller waistine and hips and a flatter middle but now everything especially my hips are expanding faster like the speed of light.
