Anything Goes Monday: Summer White and Stripes

It looks like summer has finally arrived on this side of the world. Never mind tha it´s gonna rain(again) this week but the temperature continues to rise which is good news in my book. :) Aside from blue skies and balmy beaches, summer in my adoptive country would always mean growing snails beside pretty flowers on the side of the road, ripe wheat and a dusky sunset at 9:30 pm from my kitchen window. Isn´t that cool? ;)

And yes, white´s the official color for summer and candy stripes in pastel colors too for that fresh look all day long!

You look great in your long sleeved stripy top and sweet, lady-like shorts! I miss wearing shorts ... getting too old and it doesn't look great anymore. But you can do it for me! Enjoy.
I grew up near the beaches of southern California on our west coast. Great memories of summer, and picnics on the beach, warm evenings and stars in the night sky over the ocean.

Shorts and a pretty striped top ... perfect for summer in so many ways. You look great and ready to enjoy the season.
I grew up near the beach in southern California on our west coast. I remember picnics on the beach, playing in the warm water, and starry nights over the quiet ocean horizon.

shirt dress converted to top - Zara ( from the sales last year) Lately, I´ve discovered that the extra pounds that I´ve unconsciously piled over the past years have finally settled comfortably on my face. Flyday Fridays: Paris (part 1)

The first time I went to Paris was in early spring. It was raining and gloomy but that didn´t stop me from falling in love with this romantic city. Here are some things to do and places to visit when you´re in Pa-gheee . ;) 1, 2, 3: Get lost inside le Louvre,  pass by   Mona Lisa´s room and get mesmerized by her coy smile and if you like ancient jewelry, be enthralled by the museum´s jewelry collection. Even the bishop´s crozier is bejeweled! 4: Admire the Sainte Chapelle´s amazing ceiling, structure and colorful stained glass windows. 5,6: Fall in line (entrance is free!) and admire the sculpture and stained windows of the Notre Dame. By this time you´re very tired and so take a rest at the park/garden at the back of the church. Later you can cross the small bridge and have your lunch at one of the numerous creperies and restaurants in the small island. 7,8: After a light lunch, take the metro and go to Montmartre and visit the Sacré Coeur....

Skirting the Issue

Halooo! So how´s your weekend? ;) Mine was spent visiting the new flat ( we just had the new sofa delivered, yey!) and last Saturday we went to this mini-food fair where they sell lots of goodies. I tasted some chorizos, jamon serrano, and a glass of white wine too. Too bad I forgot to take the camera so no photos to show you but we brought home some sweets which unfortunately we also gobbled up during the weekend. hihihi! At least I´ve spared you from breaking your diets this summer. ;) Truth be told, I don´t look good wearing high waisted skirts because I have wide hips ( I´m good at hiding them here ;) . Maybe I could pull off wearing them 10 yrs. ago when I still have a slimmer silhouette, er, smaller waistine and hips and a flatter middle but now everything especially my hips are expanding faster like the speed of light.
