Monday Remix: Summer Dressing

Happy Monday, all! :)

Summer´s definitely here, can you feel the heat? It´s time to put more of that sunblock on your skin, wear a hat for extra shade from the sun and very important: hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! And when I say hydrate, I don´t mean with those mind numbing delicious cocktails that we love to sip by the poolside, dahlings  but with water or whatever summer fruit that takes your fancy. ;)

As for what to wear, we all know the drill, hot pants for the daring( I´m not NOT because I don´t want to but because my BOD DOESN´T ALLOW IT, hahaha!), maxi dresses and if you´re like me who goes for non-fussy dressing, a  piece of cotton skirt with a comfy top are good to go. Just accessorize the outfit a little bit and we´ll be fine. :)

Today, I´m bringing you my photos from the parking lot. This is much better than my kitchen door, no? lol! Anyway, this is my usual outfit nowadays and yes, I seem to wear just one pair of sandals everyday. Just one of those phases, ya know. ;)

Some skirts just work SO hard for their wearer! This one does, especially for adorable you. Cute sandals, little hat, accessories, etc! So often, it's the extras that make it. I've got to remember that 'cause I get all caught up with the base pieces and forget the add-ons. Either that, or I just can't see the potential.

shirt dress converted to top - Zara ( from the sales last year) Lately, I´ve discovered that the extra pounds that I´ve unconsciously piled over the past years have finally settled comfortably on my face. Skirting the Issue

Halooo! So how´s your weekend? ;) Mine was spent visiting the new flat ( we just had the new sofa delivered, yey!) and last Saturday we went to this mini-food fair where they sell lots of goodies. I tasted some chorizos, jamon serrano, and a glass of white wine too. Too bad I forgot to take the camera so no photos to show you but we brought home some sweets which unfortunately we also gobbled up during the weekend. hihihi! At least I´ve spared you from breaking your diets this summer. ;) Truth be told, I don´t look good wearing high waisted skirts because I have wide hips ( I´m good at hiding them here ;) . Maybe I could pull off wearing them 10 yrs. ago when I still have a slimmer silhouette, er, smaller waistine and hips and a flatter middle but now everything especially my hips are expanding faster like the speed of light. Flyday Fridays: Paris (part 1)

The first time I went to Paris was in early spring. It was raining and gloomy but that didn´t stop me from falling in love with this romantic city. Here are some things to do and places to visit when you´re in Pa-gheee . ;) 1, 2, 3: Get lost inside le Louvre,  pass by   Mona Lisa´s room and get mesmerized by her coy smile and if you like ancient jewelry, be enthralled by the museum´s jewelry collection. Even the bishop´s crozier is bejeweled! 4: Admire the Sainte Chapelle´s amazing ceiling, structure and colorful stained glass windows. 5,6: Fall in line (entrance is free!) and admire the sculpture and stained windows of the Notre Dame. By this time you´re very tired and so take a rest at the park/garden at the back of the church. Later you can cross the small bridge and have your lunch at one of the numerous creperies and restaurants in the small island. 7,8: After a light lunch, take the metro and go to Montmartre and visit the Sacré Coeur.
