WIWW: One Shirt Dress Day

As I was telling you last Monday, the hubz and I had a day trip in Bilbao to visit it´s annual travel expo done at the BEC( Bilbao Exhibition Center). The temperature was 21ºC , sunny but chilly. That didn´t stop me from debuting my multi-colored sandals which I´ve had since March.

For once, you´re seeing me wear a dress, though technically it´s a chambray shirt dress. If you´ve been following me for a while you´d know that I´d hardly ever wear dresses but a shirt dress? Anytime! By the way, this dress is part of my winter sale loot. ;)

I wore mine loose today sans belt because we had a buffet lunch at our favorite Chinese restaurant and you know what happens after eating Chinese food, the BIG BLOAT. I hope it doesn´t show much in these photos below. ;)

And when I see door arches such as these( they´re made of cardboard by the way), I can´t help but take some photos because I love doors!

So  how´s your week so far? I hope it´s doin´great. Yesterday, the hubz and I celebrated his birthday at our mini-kitchen. Just me and him, nothing fancy. As we grow old, I find that the simpler the celebration is, the better it is for me. :)

Oh and going back to what this post is about, do you like shirt dresses? Would you wear them? ;)

Cheryl, what easy-breezy, cool, put-together casual look. You can't go wrong with a Denim Shirt-dress. Also, you always have the COOLEST locations for your photos. =)

I too am wearing a Dress today. I consider your dress a Statement Dress because it's a Classic piece. =)

I love a chambray shirt dress, and really like how you styled this one. The sandals are so cute! And no...you definitely don't look bloated in the pictures :) You look great!

I love that you've had those sandals since March!!! That is totally how I dress....buy now wear later. And that shirt dress is GREAT. It is short enough to be sexy without being too short and I would love to see it with tights and a belt. I'll have to look into the travel expo, it sounds so interesting.

I love dresses of any style, shirt dresses included. They're really easy to wear and you can dress them up or down. Hope you had fun in Bilbao, the scenery looked amazing!

This might be the first time I've seen you wear a dress since I've known you! It looks great on you and should wear dresses more often.

I agree on the belt thing if you're eating at a buffet. Might as well wear the dress loose rather than remove your belt after lunch and then stash it in your bag.

Cute sandals BTW! Love the colors and it will definitely go well with a lot of outfits this summer!

Skirting the Issue

Halooo! So how´s your weekend? ;) Mine was spent visiting the new flat ( we just had the new sofa delivered, yey!) and last Saturday we went to this mini-food fair where they sell lots of goodies. I tasted some chorizos, jamon serrano, and a glass of white wine too. Too bad I forgot to take the camera so no photos to show you but we brought home some sweets which unfortunately we also gobbled up during the weekend. hihihi! At least I´ve spared you from breaking your diets this summer. ;) Truth be told, I don´t look good wearing high waisted skirts because I have wide hips ( I´m good at hiding them here ;) . Maybe I could pull off wearing them 10 yrs. ago when I still have a slimmer silhouette, er, smaller waistine and hips and a flatter middle but now everything especially my hips are expanding faster like the speed of light. Flyday Fridays: Paris (part 1)

The first time I went to Paris was in early spring. It was raining and gloomy but that didn´t stop me from falling in love with this romantic city. Here are some things to do and places to visit when you´re in Pa-gheee . ;) 1, 2, 3: Get lost inside le Louvre,  pass by   Mona Lisa´s room and get mesmerized by her coy smile and if you like ancient jewelry, be enthralled by the museum´s jewelry collection. Even the bishop´s crozier is bejeweled! 4: Admire the Sainte Chapelle´s amazing ceiling, structure and colorful stained glass windows. 5,6: Fall in line (entrance is free!) and admire the sculpture and stained windows of the Notre Dame. By this time you´re very tired and so take a rest at the park/garden at the back of the church. Later you can cross the small bridge and have your lunch at one of the numerous creperies and restaurants in the small island. 7,8: After a light lunch, take the metro and go to Montmartre and visit the Sacré Coeur.
