Monday Remix: Classic Chambray

Hello there! ;)

2014-01-27 12.24.26

Mondays are for clothes remix from now on and so I´ve changed my post title to Monday Remix from Anything Goes Monday. Although you´ll still see outfit remixes on Wednesdays and Fridays( because I love mixing old and new), old pics on how I wore a specific item will be shown on  Mondays. Just so you´ll know, I´m a not a creative remixer but I love mixing colors and textures. ;)

My first foray into chambray( although I´ve worn this in the 90s with a thicker denim and I´m not sure if it´s called chambray then, lol!) was this thrifted top in 2011. There were a lot of chambray shirts hanging on the rack in the only thrift store in my barrio that time and so I got one for myself to try. Little did I know that this old top will be one of my favorite go-to tops when I like to dress in a flash or do the layering thing. Chambrays in my opinion are a classic just like black pumps, LBDs and pearls.

Today, I experimented with mixing different prints and textures but with subdued colors.

You´ve seen this metallic clutch  a million times in the blog, it´s another of my fave bag to reach out to and to add an extra oomph to an otherwise boring outfit.

As for the printed pants, I first wore this on a trip to the mountains and the sweatshirt was an autumn discovery last year. I wore it backwards the first time, glad that it looked right in the photo, hahaha!

Here are some ways that I´ve worn the chambray top, I´ve worn it a la preppy as my favorite layering piece, over a skirt and as an overshirt the frst time in 2011.

Great ensemble Che! I love those floral pants and you gave me an idea of how to wear my floral pants, too.

Yes, dang it I have got the breast cancer now. I am so mad! But I have to stay positive and deal with it. It is curable for me which is so wonderful, but I have to have surgery, chemo and pills. Not sure how much I can blog but I should be about able to do it and only it.

Thank you for your sweet comment. Big hug back at you!!!!

Wow! I love those pants. I love the whole outfit actually. Everything goes together so well. I also like the touch of the shirt sleeves unbuttoned. Inspired!

Really, really love this outfit. The pants look so much dressier with the pumps, but then adding the sweatshirt and chambray gives the look a fantastic casual twist. Just perfect.

Great remixes, Che! All photos show fabulous variety and very cute outfits ... but I'm dying for the shoes in your first outfit. Been looking hard for that cut across the top, but finding nothing yet here.
Such a treat to see your thoughtful creations.
