Monday Remix: Basic Transition Pieces for Fall
Happy Monday, dears!
Today is the 4th day of fall or autumn here in Europe and while the temperature may be dropping by the day in your side of the world, we´re still having warm sunny days in here.
Since it´s still a bit early to dress for the cold season, here are some basic transition pieces that I ´d like to talk about when it comes to fall dressing:
1. denim jacket- I have two shades of denim jackets, a lighter wash for spring and a darker wash for fall because it photographs well with the brownish red color of the leaves,hahaha! Whatever wash it is , a denim jacket will always be a classic transition piece in anyone ´s closet.
2. animal prints - leopard is back on trend this season but hey, the more varied your animal print collection is the better and more choices you have to mix and match! Aside from a zebra and leopard printed top, I also have this cheetah printed short sleeved top which has become a closet staple of mine during fall and even during early spring when the weather´s still cold.
3. slip ons/ loafers- during those days when you need to walk a lot and don´t want to wear socks with your rubber/walking shoes. The alternative? Slip-ons or loafers beacause they´re easier to clean ( the inside part) than your rubber shoes.
4. dark cross body bag- although I´m a huge fan of tote bags, crossbody bags are much better because they´re hands free. Besides, the tote bag handles have this annoying habit of falling down my small shoulders whenever I wear a jacket, with a crossbody, that´s never a problem.
