Madrid Weekend-1

Autumn is our travel season. The weather isn´t so cold nor so hot and for me is the most colorful season of the year aside from spring. I consider myself lucky to be living  in a 4-season place right now and so I enjoy every minute of each season. It´s a far cry from the very hot or the very wet season that I´m used to back home. ;)

The hubz had to attend some social gathering in Madrid last weekend and so I tagged along.We usually travel by train when we do long distance travelling around here. This time we´re able to get a discount in the ¨Preferente¨ class and had some ¨nibblers¨  and drinks to go with it.The train´s wine list was actually good. I chose cava ( Spanish champagne) to go with my ¨nibblers¨. ;)


You know that you´re in Madrid when you see the Cuatro Torres ( Four Towers). Photo was taken just before the day turned cloudy.


To make up for the tattered shorts I added a vest. If you´ve been reading my posts, you´ll probably notice that I go for a very casual and relaxed style. Later, in Madrid, I´ve discovered that wearing tattered shorts put me in a seriously awkward situation. An anecdote about that soon. ;)

So how´s your week so far? There´s nothing here but rain, rain and more rain. In some places in Europe it´s already snowing! It seems that winter is knocking everyone´s doors early. ;)

That is too funny!! I take all my photos outside, so that would be really embarrassing or scary to find a random person just looking at the camera! Now, I am scared.

Nautical and Taupe

Hello, I´m still here! I know it´s been four days since my last post. ;) Real life´s been hectic lately and so I had to let go of  my blog life for a couple of days to attend to some urgent personal  matters. Anywa yz ,I´m back and wearing stripes! Since stripes looks good with sea, I´m sharing two photo snippets of Biarritz´s beaches in between my outfit photos. While almost everyone usually pair blue stripes with red or white I went for something different like taupe. Taupe is my new gray and I´m loving it! You should try it too. :) So why beach photos of Biarritz? It has one of the best beaches on this side of the world, it´s in France ( in the south actually)  and the place is chic ¨super magnified¨ !  As to my outfit, I´m finishing the look with a blush colored leather jacket and then I´m off for my afternoon walk later. Cheesecake, anyone?

shirt dress converted to top - Zara ( from the sales last year) Lately, I´ve discovered that the extra pounds that I´ve unconsciously piled over the past years have finally settled comfortably on my face. I´m going to hide my face for now. ;) Do you have a wgi (weight gain indicator and I made this up)  in your body? I do and it´s my face (aside from the muffin top). hehe!;) earrings - bazaar (Phils.) I love shirt dresses. They´re loose and they basically hide anything that you wanted to hide. Know what I mean? ;) One bad thing about this particular dress shirt though is the fit. It´s too loose, a bit short and it doesn´t look good with my mini ... and so a lot of rolling and folding was done to achieve the  laid back look that I wanted to create . That´s me rolling and folding below. ;) I´m just kidding about hiding my face. Here it is... and yes, my face is so healthy, no? :) Say hello to the weight gain culprit ! My guilt...
