WIWW: The Week That Was

Hello, my luvs!

The cold weather caught on us finally and... it looks like we jumped directly to winter! So the past week, I wore nothing but jackets, jumpers and my favorite black sneakers. Here´s a rundown of what I did last week

1. The hubz and I went to our centuries old and very coquette cemetery  to visit our loved ones on November 1. It was a dreary day but the sun came out in time for lunch so yey for that! :)

2. The day after, I decided to do some window shopping at the mall. I saw this very cosy and toasty top at Zara. Love the stripes and the color combo too(I ´ve got a tote bag and mules to match with it, matchy-matchy, hehe) but the practical gal in me decided to let it go. I needed a long sleeved top because it´s winter, you know and I want my arms to feel warm too.

3. The weekend is for cultivating the mind and soul or make that every 1st Saturday of the month because I always make it a point to attend a classical concert at my city´s Museum of  Fine Arts. Yes, we´re spoiled like that and yes too, I look like the postwoman aka the bumblebee in my bright yellow jacket. The day´s still dreary with occasional rain showers and so I needed a full blast of color to brighten my day.😌😊

4. Sunday was the coldest and wettest day of the week but that never stopped me from going out because who never says no to a free buffet meal? I just bundled up thick. Don´t mind the double chin. This was a ¨take a photo of me here,  no one´s coming yet¨  situation and so we just have to seize that moment, right?

After looking at all of these photos, I´ve noticed that I´ve been using the same cross body bag the whole week because I´m like that, I wear what I only see outside of my closet, lol!

Hi my friend, so glad to see you again. Sounds like you had a great week and that monthly Saturday classical concert sounds like a great thing to do. It is getting cold there but you have a great collection of coats.

I love yoru colourful witner style with the bright red and yellow coats! :)

I'm the same too, can easily use the same bag all week long, I often forget to swap them around!

Hope you had a good weekend, and you got some bargains in the sales. I did some Christmas shopping last week but I haven't bought anything in the sales yet.

shirt dress converted to top - Zara ( from the sales last year) Lately, I´ve discovered that the extra pounds that I´ve unconsciously piled over the past years have finally settled comfortably on my face. I´m going to hide my face for now. ;) Do you have a wgi (weight gain indicator and I made this up)  in your body? I do and it´s my face (aside from the muffin top). hehe!;) earrings - bazaar (Phils.) I love shirt dresses. They´re loose and they basically hide anything that you wanted to hide. Know what I mean? ;) One bad thing about this particular dress shirt though is the fit. It´s too loose, a bit short and it doesn´t look good with my mini ... and so a lot of rolling and folding was done to achieve the  laid back look that I wanted to create . Flyday Fridays: Paris (part 1)

The first time I went to Paris was in early spring. It was raining and gloomy but that didn´t stop me from falling in love with this romantic city. Here are some things to do and places to visit when you´re in Pa-gheee . ;) 1, 2, 3: Get lost inside le Louvre,  pass by   Mona Lisa´s room and get mesmerized by her coy smile and if you like ancient jewelry, be enthralled by the museum´s jewelry collection. Even the bishop´s crozier is bejeweled! 4: Admire the Sainte Chapelle´s amazing ceiling, structure and colorful stained glass windows. 5,6: Fall in line (entrance is free!) and admire the sculpture and stained windows of the Notre Dame. By this time you´re very tired and so take a rest at the park/garden at the back of the church. Later you can cross the small bridge and have your lunch at one of the numerous creperies and restaurants in the small island. 7,8: After a light lunch, take the metro and go to Montmartre and visit the Sacré Coeur....

Skirting the Issue

Halooo! So how´s your weekend? ;) Mine was spent visiting the new flat ( we just had the new sofa delivered, yey!) and last Saturday we went to this mini-food fair where they sell lots of goodies. I tasted some chorizos, jamon serrano, and a glass of white wine too. Too bad I forgot to take the camera so no photos to show you but we brought home some sweets which unfortunately we also gobbled up during the weekend. hihihi! At least I´ve spared you from breaking your diets this summer. ;) Truth be told, I don´t look good wearing high waisted skirts because I have wide hips ( I´m good at hiding them here ;) . Maybe I could pull off wearing them 10 yrs. ago when I still have a slimmer silhouette, er, smaller waistine and hips and a flatter middle but now everything especially my hips are expanding faster like the speed of light.
