WIWW: Wine Season

Image
Hola, holaaa! Wasn´t it just the other day that I was commenting about transitional pieces to wear here in the blog? Suddenly, we´re aready in the middle of the week. How time flies! Anyway, here´s what I wore last weekend while visiting the neighboring city of LogroƱo, the capital of La Rioja region: The original plan was to take some photos of the tradional ¨ pisado de uvas ¨ or grape treading to start the annual harvest for 2016 but the plan bombed because we got lost looking for a place to park and when we arrived at the palza, the place was jampacked already. So we headed back to one of the famous wineries instead and took some photos. This awesome corrugated structure is called Bodegas Ysios, a fine artwork and winery designed by the famous Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava. It´s located in the town of Laguardia in the La Rioja- Alavesa region of Spain. I had the chance to visit this winery which included wine tasting by the way late autumn of last year but wasn´t ...

Monday Remix: Basic Transition Pieces for Fall

Image
Happy Monday, dears! Today is the 4th day of fall or autumn here in Europe and while the temperature may be dropping by the day in your side of the world, we´re still having warm sunny days in here. Since it´s still a bit early to dress for the cold season, here are some basic transition pieces that I ´d like to talk about when it comes to fall dressing: 1.  denim  jacket - I have two shades of denim jackets, a lighter wash for spring and a darker wash for fall  because it photographs well with the brownish red color of the leaves, hahaha! W hatever wash it is , a denim jacket will always be a classic transition piece in anyone ´s closet. 2. animal prints - leopard is back on trend this season but hey, the more varied your animal print collection is the better and more choices you have to mix and match! Aside from a zebra and leopard printed top, I also have this cheetah printed short sleeved top which has become a closet staple of mine during fall and even du...

Monday Remix: Plum, Blue and Stripes

Image
Good morning, everyone! I´m slowly transitioning my wardrobe to fall. Although the weather´s still warm for some serious jacket wearing, my tops´ colors are getting darker everyday. ;) I´m wearing nothing new for this casual look because there´s nothing new with what they´re selling in the stores right now. Even the color trends for fall 2016 can be found right inside your closet: maroon/ burgundy, teal blue, red, mustard, emerald/dark green and the ubiquitous white which I´m sure we all have in our closets the whole year round. So stop, think and look inside our closets before doing the yearly fall shopping, shall we? ;) top - Promod, jeans - Blanco Suite, clutch and loafers - Massimo Dutti Have a lovely week ahead, you all! :) Hugs, Che PS: Linking with Molly , Lauren, Rachel, Patti and Allison.

Monday Remix: Shorts Season... Still

Happy Monday, my luvs ! It´s still very much summer on this side of the world despite that it´s already the 4th of September. This year has really been strange, weather-wise. At this time, we could´ve been wearing light jackets or cardigans in the early morning or late evening at least but it´s still sleeveless and/ lightweight tops all  the way all day! It´s a good thing that I have a lot of lightweight tops to mix and match with my shorts and skirts and .. it´s never too early to dress for fall, no? This top is part of my orange addiction phase which comes and goes at least once a year. I don´t know why I like collecting  this color and it isn´t even my favorite, in fact, far from it but it´s always a go-to color of mine come fall and even spring though in a lighter shade (peach) . And you, wha´s your fave go- to color? top - Sfera, shorts (very old) - Bershka, bag and sandals - Bimba & Lola Hope you´ll have a n exciting and fulfilling week ahead...
