Spring Eternal

Image
Spring ... are flowers blooming and bursting in vivid colors immortalized by this metal bangle intricately covered with lots of tiny and sparkly multi-colored stones. Found this bangle in a Chinese costume jewelry store ( of all places!). It lacked 2 small stones (got detached and were lost), the owner sold it to me for 60% off the original price. It helped that I was a customer of hers from her dimsum selling days. I´m going back to that store soon. Lots of pretty stuff in there and so cheap too! End of story.

Khaki and the Cliff

Saturday afternoon was spent watching Red Cliff by John Woo in the cinema. I love Chinese period-action films. Fight scenes are always well choreographed, the setting is very colorful and the costume  department never fails. We´re very late here in Spain, all films need to be dubbed in Spanish that´s why. hehe! khaki top - Bershka ( from the winter sales 2 yrs. ago), jeans- Zara This is the only ¨kahaki¨ clothing that I have in my wardrobe right now. It has a greenish-brown color but it doesn´t photograph really well. pearl earrings - old, SM Dept´t Store (Phils.) amber cocktail ring - Bjou Brigitte , gold tone bangles - Misako, Sfera If it looks like I´m squatting then yes I am. lol! So hard to take photos thru the self-timer without using a tripod. So what do you think of Red Cliff? Have you watched and liked it? The storyline actually dragged in the middle but I liked it anyway. :) Have a lovely week ahead, dahlings! ;) Che PS: Some cli...

RED IN SPRING

Image
Spring is for florals. Trends are nudes and denim on denim, a la chambray shirt over a dark wash denim.  mocha slacks - Guess, paisley top - Kamiseta, red coat - Zara beige bag - H&M  ( from the sales last year) So what am I doing with red? red cocktail ring - local dep´t store None other than to compliment and accessorize.Wearing beige or nude from head to toe can be boring, no? ;) After seeing the last photo, I´ve just discovered that my hand is super dehydrated, hehe! This was taken in Loiola, Guipuzcoa in the Spanish Basque country. That huge church behind me is the Basilica of St. Ignatius, the founder of the Jesuit Order. Have a lovely mid-week, everyone! :) Che Psst! More of my travel photos here . ;)

The Pea Coat

Image
After the long post drought, I´m finally back and this time I´m going to do regular posting on this blog. Yep, spring is finally here on this side of the word. Despite the temperature getting warmer day after day, the nights are still cold and some days still go back to being wintery. Love casual dressing. Jeans and thin turtlenecks are perfect spring basics if you don´t like wearing a scarf for that still chilly breeze. Wearing: baby blue turtleneck by Lefties Bib necklace by F21 ( Hanh´s giveaway) old denim jeans by Levis and a short pea coat by Zara which I bought for 70% off. Beat that! :) Have a lovely week ahead, fashionistas! :)
