WIIWW: Cullotes and a Silk Top

Image
Good morning, dahlings! You know me, I like breezy and comfy. I wore this outfit when the hub z and I had a day trip to Barcelona at the beginning of the month. It was sizzling hot ( for real!) and as usual the main streets are jam-packed with tourists and everything in the Catalonian capital. If you´re there at that time, I could´ve bumped into you literally without you and me knowing it! I´m obsessed with culottes lately and although one of my closest friends didn´t agree with me when I bought this pair with her, I just smiled  and bought it anyway, hahaha! You know that ¨situation¨ about shopping out with a friend? There are actually two sides of the story: 1. your friend convinces you to buy something and you buy it and then regret why you bought it later and ... 2. your friend discourages you when you like to buy something that you really like because she thinks that you don´t look good in it but you buy it anyway because your gut feeling tells you so. Monday Remix: Good Ole Blue Jeans and some Mustard

Image
Good morning, everyone! As usual, real life has gone hectic lately and so blogger life had to take a back seat the nth time. ;) The hub z and I are making the most of what´s left of his summer vacation and that includes visiting old faves like Saint Jean de Luz in the south of France. You know that summer´s about to end when you find an almost deserted beach on a weekend. It was a cool day yesterday, cloudy but not so cold either and so I wore my good ole pair of jeans with a flowy top with lace see through trimming and flats coz there´ll be lots of   walking strolling near the beach. No dipping for this ga l unless it´s 30 ºC outside, hahaha! I´m favoring tote bags  (to store the cardigan/ light jacket once it gets really cold aside from my kitchen sink, lol)  and mustard lately, they´re perfect to pair with black or white and is a classic fall color. You know me, I aways like to dress a season ahead although most of the time I´m always late in catching up ...

WIWW: Pink Gingham

Hi, there! So what do you wear when you visit old castles on a very hot day like  30ºC+ hot? I opt for a pair of shorts and a really flowy cotton top for comfort while walking non-stop and climbing steep stairs. A good walking shoes helps too and as for the top, I don´t go for sleeveless not only because I have flabby arms( hehe!) but I don´t want to get sunburned. So I always go for tops with sleeves. Lately, I´m favoring gingham tops. It´s  a plus that it´s in a shade of light pink and pleated at the back. I love tops with quirky details be it a pocket, buttons or pleats. This sort of fits the bill. While a lot of women like wearing dresses during summer, I always go for shorts. I don´t have a thigh gap so you can´t imagine how icky it feels when your sweaty inner thighs rub each other as you walk (TMI sorry ) and with shorts/jeans that solves the problem. :) gingham top, slip ons, sunglasses- Massimo Dutti, shorts(old)- Bershka, So what´s your go...

Monday Remix: An Eyelet and a Midi

Image
Hi, there!!!! So I´ve been gone again but this time with a good reason, my travel partner and I took our first summer vacay on the southeastern part of Spain. Will tell you about it once I get the pics up. Anyway, are midis still in? I´ve been wearing this non-stop.While everybody´s in mini and shortie shorts, I´m getting a lot of wear with this midi denim skirt. It´s just so comfy and breezy and most importantly, I don´t have to be conscious of my knickers butt showing when I stoop down to get something on the floor. Ge my drift? As for this neverending summer heat, I pair the skirt with an eyelet top. We need lots of ventilation, darlings to survive the sizzling temperature nowadays! So there goes my look, clean and no fuss just how I like it to be. top and denim skirt - Zara, s hoes and ba g - Massimo Dutti I first wore the eyelet top as part of an all-white ensemble. It loos so fresh, isn´t it? ;) Have  a lovely week! Hugs, Che PS: Linking up with ...
