Monday Remix: Chambray Top

Image
Good morning all! I´m finally back from my almost a month long summer vacation. It was tiring, very hot except for the last week which was rainy but it was worth it. This also explains my blogging silence these past days. ;) Here are some what I wore pics in one of my trips. Pardon the photo quality, I had to crop most of these because these were taken at a very far distance.  I have totally embraced the minimalist dressing philosophy in my life and I´m so happy with it. It´s so comfy, no fuss, easy to wear and combine and with clean lines, things that I always look for in every outfit that I wear to fit my very casual and laid back lifestyle. Since our vacation involves lots of walking under the very hot sun, a comfortable pair of shoes is a must. These sandals never failed me and not even a blister on it´s first wear! How great is that. ;)  I love and hoard chambray tops. For those extra hot days, I always opt for short sleeves like this and it goes well wit...

Flyday Fridays: A Fab Find in Brown in Elda

Image
Hello, everyone! I´m still on the road but will be home much later. I know, I owe you lots of travel posts/stories but since real life´s making me busy right now, here´s a little peek of what´s to come in my future travel posts, the ¨Elda Footwear Museum¨. Click here for the museum´s page. This museum boasts of having the most complete collection of footwear since the ancient times to the modern times. Below are just some snippets of the collection from the Grecian and Roman age to the 60s and 70s: to different styles of shoes like clogs and rows and rows of other types of shoes for men, women and children: Elda also has a booming shoe and bag industry and as a Christmas gift ( yep, this trip was done last Xmas 2014, lol!)  from the hub z to me , I bought  a ¨trapeze like¨ bag in calfskin leather and suede. I don´t normally use this bag because I´m afraid to damage the suede part, hahaha!. It has a zipper and packs a lot at a very affordable prize. It´s a grea...

WIWW: Train Outfit

Image
Good morning, dahlings ! I´m still in the middle of my road trip looking for volcanoes ( don´t worry, they´re extinct) and old monasteries in the middle of nowhere. :) In the meantime, here´s a train outfit which I´m showing you today when we went to the eastern part of Spain two weeks ago: Our trip consisted of three train rides from my place --> Madrid -->Valencia --> Castellón de la Plana( final destination) and so a comfortable outfit is a MUST to survive the three train transfers plus a mini bus ride to the other terminal in Valencia, Spain. I also ¨broke in¨   this red leather handbag which I bought in the La Roza Village  Outlet in Madrid a month ago. I´m loyal to Spanish brands ( maybe beacuse I live in Spain and they´re accessible to where I live) and when I satrt collecting I just can´t stop. It´s sad to say though that Bimba y Lola, stopped using the greyhound logo and so this bag is an ode to the old logo of the brand which I so loved dearly. ...

Monday Remix: Remixing the Linen Shirt Dress

Image
Hi, all! If you have read my Monday remix post last week, I mentioned that I brought with me two shirt dresses for my trip, this is the second of the two: shirt dress( old) -Massimo Dutti, hat - Primark, leather bracelet - Purificación García, bag - Longchamp, sandals - Kickers As with all things linen, it wrinkles easily, hahaha! It´s quite comfy though and served me well from day til dinner time. It´s a great transition piece, actually. I put on a hat, a yellow colored leather bracelet and silver and gold bangle, a pair of leather sandals( which I use sparingly, don´t know why! ) and my ever trusty companion, the Longchamp bag which you´ve seen a gazillion times in the blog to liven up a bit this old plain dress. I changed my sandals to a pair of leather slip-ons during dinner: leather slip-ons(old) -Aldo I first wore this linen shirt dress two years ago on a trip to the Navarre region of Spain. Looking back at this pic, I think I dress colorful back then, lol! ...

WIWW: Stripes , Ombre and Bleu

Image
Good morning, all! I´m keeping this short today with a very casual stripes and shorts combo. Pardon the squint, I forgot to bring my sunglasses when we took these photos and my face never looked puffier, lol! I was pegging for the French nautical vibe in red, white and blue colors but opted for an ombre clutch on the last minute because I like changing the rules a little. ;) Given the chance, I´d wear this look everyday but it´s so hard finding shorts with the the right length nowadays and which is modest enough for me to wear. All I can find in the stores right now are tiny shorts which are tinier than your underwear which I´d never dare wear even on the beach. Because I´m a prude like that and yes, I´m older than you think I am. ;) shirt ,   clutch   and  shorts   - Zara, sandals - Massimo Dutti Gotta go now, girls. So many errands to do, so little time. Ciao! Hugs! Che PS : Linking up with  The Pleated Poppy , Victoria , Laura , Ta...

Monday Remix: Chambray Summer

Image
Hello, all! Just got back last night from our first summer getaway for the month, hence, the blog silence ( sowie for not tellin´ you..)  and it was so oo hot during the whole trip! I brought two shirt dresses  and one of these is this chambray shirt dress thinking that it would be breezy but I was still sweating all over. Do you know that icky feeling when your inner thighs are sweating and rubbing each other? I swear I was walking like a duck most of the time under the 33ºC heat, hahaha! This dress was a lot comfortable though than say a pair of jeans but I´d wear my denim cutoffs the next time we´re visiting some sites and climbing small hills. ;) Anyway, since this is a remix post, I paired my shirt dress with a paper straw hat, changed to my ever reliable and foldable le Pliage Longchamp bag from the usual clutch bag, added a pair of brown and pink colored sandals and also a colored jeweled bracelet for more color aside from blue. It´s a subtle remixing of acc...

Monday Remix. Dressing Room OOTD

Image
Hi, everyone! I wasn´t able to take some outfit photos lately because real life became busier but here are two dressing room photos which I took last week while sale shopping: top- Pimkie, jeans- Zara, bag- Bimba&Lola, loafers- Coach I didn´t buy the dark wash jeans ( the ones that we´re hanging) but I did buy this cotton, white, short sleeved shirt because of its oblique button down design. I´m sucker for unusual designs on tops and skirts and so this baby went home with me even if I already have  a lot of white button downs in my closet. top, jeans and sandals- Zara Enjoy the week, y´al  !!! Hugs, Che PS:  Today´s a Monday, I´m linking with Molly and Lauren .
