Some Friday Thoughts

Hi, everyone!

It´s a rainy day in here. Awhile back I was saying that summer may be staying for a while  but it looks like that´s not gonna happen for now. The colder days are here ( at least on this side of the world) and it´s time to take out the long sleeved top, the cardigans, scarves, the jacket and a thicker pair of jeans. ;)

Our new flat is beginning to have a life of it´s own. After most of the basic furniture have been placed, I´ve discovered that there isn´t enough space for anything else. hahaha! Anyway, it´s better this way than a having a big house to clean and maintain, no? ;)

Enough of the blah, this was what I wore yesterday while running some errands:

top- H&M, jeans- old Levis

bangles- Promod, Sfera

A 3/4 sleeve top and a pair of jeans is perfect to climb some stairs and walk a few kilometers here and there while carrying the groceries. Yup, my life is boring right but I kinda like it this way after having worked for more than 10 yrs. non-stop in a very demanding work environment with an equally demanding schedule. Though I have to admit, I miss the thrill. haha!

Anyway, I hope that all of you are doing great and have a wonderful weekend ahead! :)

shirt dress converted to top - Zara ( from the sales last year) Lately, I´ve discovered that the extra pounds that I´ve unconsciously piled over the past years have finally settled comfortably on my face. Skirting the Issue

Halooo! So how´s your weekend? ;) Mine was spent visiting the new flat ( we just had the new sofa delivered, yey!) and last Saturday we went to this mini-food fair where they sell lots of goodies. I tasted some chorizos, jamon serrano, and a glass of white wine too. Too bad I forgot to take the camera so no photos to show you but we brought home some sweets which unfortunately we also gobbled up during the weekend. hihihi! At least I´ve spared you from breaking your diets this summer. ;) Truth be told, I don´t look good wearing high waisted skirts because I have wide hips ( I´m good at hiding them here ;) . Maybe I could pull off wearing them 10 yrs. ago when I still have a slimmer silhouette, er, smaller waistine and hips and a flatter middle but now everything especially my hips are expanding faster like the speed of light. Flyday Fridays: Paris (part 1)

The first time I went to Paris was in early spring. It was raining and gloomy but that didn´t stop me from falling in love with this romantic city. Here are some things to do and places to visit when you´re in Pa-gheee . ;) 1, 2, 3: Get lost inside le Louvre,  pass by   Mona Lisa´s room and get mesmerized by her coy smile and if you like ancient jewelry, be enthralled by the museum´s jewelry collection. Even the bishop´s crozier is bejeweled! 4: Admire the Sainte Chapelle´s amazing ceiling, structure and colorful stained glass windows. 5,6: Fall in line (entrance is free!) and admire the sculpture and stained windows of the Notre Dame. By this time you´re very tired and so take a rest at the park/garden at the back of the church. Later you can cross the small bridge and have your lunch at one of the numerous creperies and restaurants in the small island. 7,8: After a light lunch, take the metro and go to Montmartre and visit the Sacré Coeur.
