WIWW: Zebra and White

Image
Hello, my luvs ! Summer´s full blown in my place, I can´t hardly even go out because of the heatwave that´s been going on in here since yesterday! Every time I complain about the excessive heat to the hubz he would have that `I don´t believe you´ look on his face and tell me that I should´ve have been accustomed to the heat by now because I came from a tropical country. Little did he know that when the heat is on in my tropical lalaland , we hide until the sun sets or use an umbrella if we need to go out under the midday sun, hahaha! And that´s how you avoid most of the wrinkles, my friends. :) Anyway, for this look, I opt to put on a flowy white top and a mini skirt in zebra print. Like always, these are part of my old summer basics. The red open toed sandals are to add some color to the whole outfit. I usually take out this crossbody bag for spring and summer because of it´s light color combination. It´s just how I do bags, light for summer and spring, dark for autumn ...

Flyday Fridays: At Codorniu

Image
Good morning, luvs! School´s finally done for the year and I´m happy to say that I passed all of the exams too! I consider this as a great achievement on my part because I took the whole course in Spanish ( I didn´t have a choice with the language, hahaha!) . The last time that I went to school was to take my degree in the university and pass the license exams which was more than 20 years ago. So just imagine the tremendous pressure that I was going through the whole year. Anyway, since I´m on a summer break, I can finally go back to one of my favorite pastime, blogging. :) Here´s a short travel post on my trip to the Codorniu Cava Winery in April. For those of you who aren´t familiar with the word ¨cava¨, it´s the Spanish equivalent of France´s champagne. top - Comptoir des Cotonniers, pants - Zara This is my second time to visit a cava winery on the Catalonian region. My first visit was at the Freixenet Cava Winery which you can read here . The Codorniu Cava Winery has a l...

WIWW: One Shirt Dress Day

Image
As I was telling you last Monday, the hubz and I had a day trip in Bilbao to visit it´s annual travel expo done at the BEC( Bilbao Exhibition Center). The temperature was 21ºC , sunny but chilly. That didn´t stop me from debuting my multi-colored sandals which I´ve had since March. For once, you´re seeing me wear a dress, though technically it´s a chambray shirt dress. If you´ve been following me for a while you´d know that I´d hardly ever wear dresses but a shirt dress? Anytime! By the way, this dress is part of my winter sale loot. ;) I wore mine loose today sans belt because we had a buffet lunch at our favorite Chinese restaurant and you know what happens after eating Chinese food, the BIG BLOAT. I hope it doesn´t show much in these photos below. ;) And when I see door arches such as these ( they´re made of cardboard by the way) , I can´t help but take some photos because I love doors! denim shirt dress - Stradivarius,   bag(old) , sandals - Zara So ...

WIWW: Nude and Salmon Pink

Image
Hi, all! For a dark haired and warm skin toned gal like me, wearing pale colors is a challenge. Personally, I´d prefer wearing dark colors because I think I look best in them but it´s nice to experiment with colors once in a while. So today, I´m wearing light colors but paired with a darker shade to balance the overall look. Hope you like the color palette! I scored this salmon pink angora sweater from the current winter sales. It´s very light, hairy and itchy, hehe ! You need to wear it with an undershirt, a long sleeved one and although I found one in my closet, it was longer than I expected and the edges somehow got jumbled in the crotch area of my pants. Hahaha! I finished the look with a lightly washed denim jacket, a pomelo colored clutch and necklace and nude pumps to go with my nude pants. The weather´s been really great these days and when I started to have colds, I thought it was an allergy because spring came early but it´s a virus lovingly brought h...

Monday Remix: Nautical and The New Boots

Image
Hello, everyone! I admit, I´m very late in the knee high boots game. You see, I have very short legs and extra thick calves ( there, I just said it)  so finding a pair of tall boots in my size which zips up to the top is like the holy grail. So I laid low and waited for a while until I found the one. One day while window shopping with a friend, I found this pair of tall suede boots at 70% off and it zipped right up without a fuss. Could this be it? You guessed it right! As for my outfit, I went for srtipes and a full skirt and wore the tall bootsfor the first time. I´m kinda not digging this look because I look so short but I didn´t have the time to change into a shorter skirt so I just put on a shorter jacket and got on with my day. More ways to style this number coming soon. Oh and can I just say what a gorgeous day we had last Sunday? No, not yesterday´s Sunday  because it was still cloudy but  the other week´s Sunday. The blue skies made me skip...

Flyday Fridays: Burgundy and Pink

Image
Hello to another windy and rainy Friday! We took these pics last Friday and it looks like today´s weather isn´t any different and is getting worse, hehe . I  hate it when storms visit on the weekend,  they ruin your perfectly planned Saturday to Sunday itinerary just after having a rough week. It kinda depresses me. Raise your hands if you feel it too! Anyway, as I´ve been telling you these days, I´m slowly incorporating light colored pieces into my outfit in preparation for spring. This time I whipped out my pink colored leather jacket to match with my burgundy sweater for some color pairing. As usual, I opted for another sweater over chambray combination  ( what´s new?)  and wore my new burgundy flats because I´m matchy-matchy, hahaha! By the way, I learned something after looking at these pics: Never wear a loose shirt untucked under your button down and sweater because it rides up in the middle and you´ll surely have a huge muffin top. And that my frien...

WIWW: Rosettes and Cream

Image
Hello, all! :) Finally, something flowery for spring! It´s been a while since I´ve worn florals in the blog and this pair of rosette printed pants pretty much ushers in the season of flowers which officially starts in a month. The cream colored top is another sale find and  here´s the third pair of pumps that I´ve collected lately. Nude, sexy and foot slimming! Does the word ¨foot slimming¨ exist? My sister congratulated me for being svelte just by looking at my feet in the photos, hahaha!  Anyway, how do I look?  Never mind that my kitchen door looks skewed, it´s my camera´s fault or rather the uneven surface where I placed my camerato take my photos  aka  the kitchen table, hehe . ;) top and pants - Zara, clutch and shoes - local store Girls, are you ready for spring? I hope you´ll have an exciting midweek, mine started with a slightly foggy and cloudy day and I think it´s gonna rain too, oh no! Hugs, Che PS: Linking up with Style E...

WIWW: Spots on Spots

Image
Finally, some ¨street shot¨ photographs on the blog, whew ! :) It`s only a matter of time before I start wearing animal prints again  and so here it is, my first animal print post for 2014. It´s not hard not to debut this super comfy jegging(yes, it is and it was on sale!) with those spots in light blue wash. :) Of course, I had to pair it with a leopard necklace because I want my spots doubled. ;) I placed the mint green mesh sweater top of a chambray shirt( definitely not the same one I wore last Monday, fyi ), put on my coppery metallic shoes which has a plexi glass heel(I love it!) and a gray peacoat to finish the look. The, ah, dark blue clutch is for added color. ;) chambray top - Pimkie, sweater - local store, jegging - Zara, clutch, shoes and coat(very old )- Mango So there goes my OOTD last weekend posted on a Wednesday. What´s yours? ;) Enjoy the mid-week, y´all ! :) Hugs, Che PS: I´m linking up with Style Elixir´s Style Sessions ,...
