Dressing Up For Me

Hello, all! Here are a few OOTD snapshots which we took while visiting a hotel-winery called Hotel-Bodega Marqués de Riscal in La Rioja, Spain a few week ago. It was the tail end of summer then and so you´ll see me with just a 3/4 sleeve dotted top, dark jeans and loafer for romping around. ;) The hotel was designed by famous Canadian architect Frank Ghery who also designed Bilbao´s Guggenheim Museum. Those wavy canopies in three distinct colors: silver, gold and ¨pink/rose¨gold are made of titanium and changes in color depending on the sun´s reflection. This is a five star hotel whose number of rooms don´t even reach 40( I think!) and guess what, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt stayed here when they visited Spain. ;) More details on this hotel-winery in my next posts, in the meantime here´s a parting shot from the vineyards: top- Mango, pants- H&M, necklace- Blanco Suite, bag- Misako Happy Friday, everyone! The other day, the hubz suggested that we pass by the lake. I always love this place because it´s looks so peaceful, so clean and so green. This is one of the things that I love most about the city where I live right now, the overall size of it´s parks is comparable to that of New York´s but the number of inhabitants is nowhere that near to NY´s. How´s that for healthy living? ;) When I told the hubz that I´m going to dip my feet in there, he took a candid photo of me. Caught in the act, hahaha! My feet can only take me near the shoreline because the water´s cold. Ayayay! I love this maxi skirt which I reworked into a dress (again!) because of it´s floral applique. Actually aside from the color and the assymetrical hem, it´s the applique which caught my eye. The long beaded necklace looks exotic to me too. Colored corn, anyone? ;) The day started out as having clear blue skies but while driving down there, all the clouds seemed to have gathered above the lake making most of my photo...

Hello! The best thing about being petite is that you can rework a below the knee skirt into a tube dress.This is a great piece to wear for a leisurely walk in the park or a perfect cover-up in the beach for your 2-piece/1- piece swimsuit. Isn´t that nice? ;) Wearing : skirt/ tube dress , rose quartz necklace - bazaar (Phils.), purple sandals - local Spanish store It isn´t the same though with having very small feet.You can´t rework a huge pair of shoes to your size even if you place a dozen Dr. Scholls ( did I spell that right? ) on it. I´m a 5 and most shoe sizes here start with 6. What a dilemma when I go shoe shopping! And yep, my shoe size is directly proportional to my height. hahaha! How about you?
