Monday Remix: Jazzing Up a Graphic Shirt

Image
Good morning, dears ! :) So how do you jazz up an embellished graphic shirt? Easy peasy. Just wear a cute skirt instead of the usual pants--> half tuck the shirt in, use a metallic clutch and finish with a pair of heels. Et, voila! :) And don´t forget to smile  though I felt silly smiling by myself just before the camera timer went off.  I bought the top when Custo Barcelona opened it´s pop-up store in 2011 in Passeig de Gracia en Barcelona and the skirt is another old find from Mango. top - Custo Barcelona, skirt(old )- Mango, clutch(old) -Pimkie, shoes - local store I first wore the top and skirt in 2012 and forgot about them last year, a hoarder problem , I know, hihi! So how do you dress up your shirts? xoxo, Che PS :  Linking up with Still being Molly´s Funday Monday , The Style Record´s Monday Must Haves , Style Elixir´s Style Sessions  and Laura´s Trend Spin  and Life´s a Party´s Stylish Tuesday . Join us!...

Monday Remix: Nautical and The New Boots

Image
Hello, everyone! I admit, I´m very late in the knee high boots game. You see, I have very short legs and extra thick calves ( there, I just said it)  so finding a pair of tall boots in my size which zips up to the top is like the holy grail. So I laid low and waited for a while until I found the one. One day while window shopping with a friend, I found this pair of tall suede boots at 70% off and it zipped right up without a fuss. Could this be it? You guessed it right! As for my outfit, I went for srtipes and a full skirt and wore the tall bootsfor the first time. I´m kinda not digging this look because I look so short but I didn´t have the time to change into a shorter skirt so I just put on a shorter jacket and got on with my day. More ways to style this number coming soon. Oh and can I just say what a gorgeous day we had last Sunday? No, not yesterday´s Sunday  because it was still cloudy but  the other week´s Sunday. The blue skies made me skip...

Flyday Fridays: Burgundy and Pink

Image
Hello to another windy and rainy Friday! We took these pics last Friday and it looks like today´s weather isn´t any different and is getting worse, hehe . I  hate it when storms visit on the weekend,  they ruin your perfectly planned Saturday to Sunday itinerary just after having a rough week. It kinda depresses me. Raise your hands if you feel it too! Anyway, as I´ve been telling you these days, I´m slowly incorporating light colored pieces into my outfit in preparation for spring. This time I whipped out my pink colored leather jacket to match with my burgundy sweater for some color pairing. As usual, I opted for another sweater over chambray combination  ( what´s new?)  and wore my new burgundy flats because I´m matchy-matchy, hahaha! By the way, I learned something after looking at these pics: Never wear a loose shirt untucked under your button down and sweater because it rides up in the middle and you´ll surely have a huge muffin top. And that my frien...

Anything Goes Monday: White Daisies

Image
Today on Anything Goes Monday, let´s talk about this pretty little blue floral dress which I saw hanging in one of the sales racks last week: I thought that I finally found the perfect dress for my body type. It´s light, it´s neither too short nor long, it has short sleeves and it has white daisies printed on it which are cute. For me this would be the ultimate spring- summer dress. Up until that we´re okay until when I turned around and wondered why the bottom of the zipper was on the top of my right butt. It turned out that the invisible zipper was sewn misaligned at the back. Uh-oh! I really wanted this dress but not even wearing a mustard yellow cardigan over it could make me forget that I´m wearing a diagonal zipper at the back of my dress which isn´t part of the design! So after mulling over it for three days, I went back to the store and returned it. It´s no use keeping something very far from perfect even if it´s dirt cheap. Quality shouln´t be compromised, my darling...

Summer Sale Shopping in Winter

Image
Halooo! I went out with a girlfriend for brunch yesterday. It was sunny and warm, perfect weather to debut my plaid shirt dress which I bought during the winter sales this year for 50% off . This plaid dress is thin, which means, it can go a long, long way from spring to autumn. Oh wait, winter isn´t over yet.;) When I go winter sale shopping, I usually buy summer y things aside from the winter basics. They´re much cheaper than actually buying them during the summer season. Try it in your local/high street stores if they include them during the winter sales season. I´m sure they do! Just opt for styles and prints that are classic and not too trendy so that you can always be in style. :) The bag´s another another steal too. It was 70% off and so I grabbed it right away. Wouldn´t you too? ;) I hope you´re not bored seeing the same background over and over again. This room and the kitchen are the only places in the flat where I photograph ehermm.. n...
