It´s Been a While, I Know...

Image
It´s been more than a year (  13 months since my last post exactly) since I´ve left this blog. I never thought that I would go back to blogging again. To be honest with you, I lost my interest in the hobby. Then I got hooked on watching You Tube fashion and lifestyle channels on my couch most of my spare time. I know it isn´t a healthy habit but it relaxes my mind, lol! Then sh*t literally hit the fan in  the beginning of March and as for the rest of the story... we all know how it ended. So with nothing to do except do the daily mundane chores and watch more You Tube videos, I decided to visit this forgotten little nook again and sort of pick-up what I´ve left before. I´ve got a gazillion of photos to show you this time, might that interest you a bit? 😉 To start, these are spring pics from probably around this time last year when it was warm enough to wear short sleeves and sandals and we were free to visit the malls . This outfit was quite especial to me because the hu...

WIWW: Tonal White

Image
Hello, everyone! Here´s a lone snippet of what I wore about two weeks ago. The weather´s turn spring- y to an even summery temperature today and so it looks like winter has gone for good. So consider this a fitting farewell outfit to winter 2018-2019. ;) coat- Pull&Bear, jeans- mango, booties- Zara, bag- Zara The tonal look is a huge trend this year and being a vertically challenged girl that I am, I welcome this trend with open and willing arms.😁 FACT: All of the items that I´m wearing are from the current sales except for the booties which I´ve had for two years now. So this look is a win-win situation after all! Have a lovely mid-week, all! Hugs, Che

WIWW: Stripes for Life

Image
Hola, holaaa! With the ¨trending¨ hot weather nowadays, wearing a super loose bottom to feel comfy can be quite challenging for a petite girl like me. So I incorporate prints into it like stripes. Aren´t we also glad that pajama dressing is   in? Because these pants look like pajama bottoms and I´m loving it. Truth be told, these are one of my go to pants to wear this summer. They´re just so breezy, light and leg lengthening, don´t you think? I even paired it with flat sandals and they still look good!😄 top- Massimo Dutti, trousers- Pull & Bear, sandals - H&M, bag - Bimba & Lola So what are you wearing these days? Hugs! Che

Monday Remix: Mixing Prints

Image
Howdy! Do you still mix prints? I still do! top, culottes and shoes- Zara, tote ba g- Mango, necklace - Bimba & Lola, sunglasses - Massimo Dutti Although summer is in full swing right now, there are still days where the temperature drops to  21ºC maximum and so I can get by wearing a light knitted top over anything,; a pair of jeans, skirt or in this case my good ole  cullotes from three seasons ago. I just make sure that the colors/ color motiff blend with each other, in this case, I mix a black and white striped top with a same colored color combo of chevron prints at the bottom and there you go! I stayed with the two-color theme by wearing black Mary Janes and a black tote bag for a more harmonious ensemble but accented it with a shell necklace from Bimba & Lola which was scored from the sales about three years ago. So if like me you also do mix prints, what are the usual color combos you opt for? Have a lovely week ahead, y´all! :) Hugs, ...

Monday Remix: Some Gingham and Wide Legs

Image
Good morning, everyone! :) Let´s bring it out there, I can´t just get over this pair of wide leg jeans/ culottes. Now, we both know that I´m very petite and culottes or  extremely flared bottoms are not quite aesthetically pleasing for a vertically challenged gal  like me but who cares? When you´re a jean fanatic like I am and it´s so hot out there, wouldn´t a flowy pair of denim be the best alternative? ;) This pair came out pretty high-rise and so pairing the right top for it is quite tricky. I´m glad that I still have this old gingham top from three years ago,  et voila , problem solved! I guess it´s time to shop for shorter tops in the sales too. #shopaholicradarison top(old) -Zara, jeans - H&M, bag - Paco Martinez, sandals - Massimo Dutti And you? What´s your fave trend this season? ;) Hugs! Che

WIWW: Marigold

Image
Hello, hellooo!!!! I haven´t given you a proper welcome for summer but hey, we´re still in the middle of it, right? ;) Anyway, with the temperature slowly rising by the day and dropping a little during the night, I tend to favor wearing just a plain tees and softly textured jeans. My favorite color nowadays is marigold. Now if that color doesn´t scream summer, I don´t know what does. Well, white of course but you and I know that white is given. ;) top -Uniqlo, jeans - Bershka, bag -Bimba & Lola, mules - Marypaz So what´s your favorite summer color nowadays? ;) See you around! Che

WIWW: Casual in Lime Green

Image
Good morning, everyone! Here´s a what I wore look while spending the last days of 2017 in the south of Spain. We escaped to Seville to celebrate NY´s Eve and the first two days of 2018. Gosh, the weather was  a lot warmer in there though we had to wear a jacket in the early morning. Oh well, comparing to the northern part of Spain where we live, the temperature´s definitely twice higher in Seville! So I opted for a spring- y  look while staying there.😊😎 This lime green knitted top (AW17 sale find) never ended up in any of my blog posts whenenver I wear it and so I´m debuting it in the blog today. The jeans were another old winter sale find ( I´m into relaxed fit  these days, aren´t they so comfy?)  and busted out an old bag of mine from two years ago. The shoes were Gucci- esque, a lovely find from Portugal where we had an early autumn/fall trip last year which was actually like, three monhs ago, lol! top- Massimo Dutti, jeans- Mango, shoes- Seaside, ba...

Monday Remix: Khaki Monochrome

Image
Good morning, everyone! I´m showing you another outfit from my short Portuguese escapade about three weeks ago. As I was telling you last week, the weather there was still summery and so I made use of this shirt dress again and went for a monochromatic look in khaki: I always love a good monochromatic get-up because it´s pleasing to the eye, elongating and it looks chic. The funny thing was that I didn´t notice that the background was in green (and white)   as well until my aunt and my friends pointed it out to me when they saw these pics in my FB page. Looking at it now, my look blended really well with the background. 😊😉😃 shirt dress - Zara, tote bag -Longchamp le Pliage, sandals - Primark, sunglasses - Massimo Dutti I first wore the shirt dress last spring with a multi-colored chevron weaved bag and flat gladiator sandals: I´m planning to remix this dress again as a duster coat  but when, that´s the big question because the weather...

WIWW: Fall Floral Skirt

Image
Hellooo!!! Here´s what I wore when  the hub z and I went on a long weekend trip to Portugal two weeks ago. The weather´s so summery that I only packed nothing but this skirt, a shirt dress, sandals! skirt - Zara,  sunglasses - Massimo Dutti,  mules - Marypaz I bought this skirt from the summer sales. No one really picked this one out because who would want to wear a dark and thick floral skirt in the middle of summer? No, I don´t but hey, I always think about the future and so she( I always call my skirts and dresses a she, lol!) went home with me. Glad that I did because for me,  she´s the perfect skirt  to wear in autumn/fall. Just pair a short sleeved top and mules/sandals with it for those warm weather days and... a jumper/sweater with tights and boots/booties or whatever shoes you like wearing on those chilly days and you´re done! This is quite a nice transition dressing piece, don´t you think?😉 I hope you´re enjoying your Wednesda...

WIWW: The Floral Burgundy Dress

Image
Good morning, darlings! I´m still on the dress mode these days. This burgundy cutie with embroidered flowers on the upper torso were one the first floral dresses that came out of Zara at the end of summer this year. I´m partial to burgundy especially during the fall/autumn- winter season and so I didn´t think twice when buying this: And....it´s quite difficult to find a dress which fits a vertically challenged  girl like moi in Zara but after trying this one on, it fell  about 1 1 /2 inches above my knees. Hallelujah, no going to the tailor and so it came with me back home!😃 I wore a light green colored cross body leather bag to match with the light green floral accent of the dress and my favorite flats ( I lived in these all throughout summer) et voila , autumn outfit completed! So what´s your take on this autumnal color? Do you have anything burgundy in your closet? Hugs! Che

Monday Remix: Remixing The Fall Floral Dress

Image
Good morning, all! I´m still making the most of the summery days in here ( like up to 28ºC!) before the weather turns autumnal for good. For those who of you who don´t know my dressing preference, I´m usually a jeans and top kind of gal  but hey, once in a while I wear dresses too! 😊 Like this dress for example, florals with a dark background and prints are all the rage these days and so it´s time to remix this cute thing: dress(old) - Zara, sandals - Massimo Dutti, metallic clutch - Green Coast Since I´m not one who does a lot of mixing and matching on a piece of clothing, a change of accessory is usually my go to when it comes to changing the look. So this time, I paired the dress with a silvery- blue metallic leather clutch and black gladiator sandals for a fresher and lighter take from a previous outfit which you can see on the last pic at the bottom. floral dress - Zara, clutch - local store, sandals .- Massimo Dutti Pardon the blooper shot, we took this p...

WIWW: The Mili Green Dress

Image
Good morning, my darlings! Two more days and it´s officially fall/autumn on this side of the world. The weather´s been quite nippy these days although we still have a few sunny days in a week so it isn´t  bad. Here´s a transitional look that I suggest during those warm days: A shirt dress with an uneven hemline is the perfect in-between seasonal clothing for those sunny days in fall/autumn. This dress works two ways: worn on it´s on or used as a cover-up over pants/pants and top, et voila, outfit complete! You can always put on a cardigan over it when the temperature drops later in the afternoon. ;) Moreover, the military green color is a basic fall/autumn color and so you´re on `fleek´ with this dress.😉😊 I bought this dress in July but can´t seem to find it any more in the Zara website  but here are some options: 1st is this  and 2nd is this in mustard and gray color. dress and sandals - Zara, sunglasses - H&M,  bag - Bimba& Lola What ...

WIWW: Color Blocking in Dusty Rose and Blue

Image
Good morning, everyone! How´s your week so far? So here I am again after a month of not posting anything, hahaha! Anyway, with all the shades of pink that has been trending this spring, I couldn´t help but pick a few tops in my favorite shade, dusty rose and pair it with a dark blue culottes: Pardon the grumpy face, we took these pics in a flash ( pun intended ) at someone´s garage door and so it was a flurry of clicks and we´re gone before  the owner can even say ¨hello and ask ¨ whatchudoin on my garage door ¨. 😅 I also upgraded my bag collection with a faux snakeskin printed cross body bag in yep, pink(and red), hehehe. Mango is killing it in the bag department lately. This season there are a lot of really cute bags with affordable prices and I was able to buy a few without breaking the bank nor waiting for the sales season. That´s great isn´t it? ;) The culottes are from Primark´s last winter sale. Although I´m loving their length, it´s a little bit big on me an...

WIWW: Dark Florals

Image
Hi, there! Continuing with our fall floral theme, here´s another look that I wore on our long weekend trip to Portugal about two weeks ago: Florals in dark tones are perfect for the autumn/fall season. It´s too bad that you can´t find this Zara dress though because this was last season´s. I bought this during the winter sales hoping to wear this this season which I did. Fact : I usually buy things ahead of season especially during the sales. They´re cheaper and you get to get ahead of the game, ;) If you´ve been following my blog, you´d know that I  rarely  wear dresses, it´s not that I don´t like them but I´m more of a mix and match type of girl and to be honest, it´s quite hard for me to remix a dress. I can do it by changing accessories but that´s just it. No pants under or skirt over it remix kind for this girl. So if I do buy one, it´s either white, denim/chambray or florals shirt dress types and I just play with what bag and shoes to combine it with. ...

Monday Remix: Fall Florals and Gray

Image
Hellooo! So this was me making the most of the last days of the summer sun and weather last week. Chilly weather started officially today. Although I´m favoring solid colored prints lately as a way of simplifying my wardrobe, I can never let go of floral prints especially with a gray background. If you happen to like wearing florals during fall, go for dark prints or in fall colors like burgundy and mustard. Gray too is my go to neutral shade aside from the ubiquitous black. I first wore this top here , wearing dark jeans but with a mustard colored cardigan. I changed the cardigan with the bag but with the same mustard color. top, pants, sandals ( all old)- Zara, tote bag - Furla So do you like wearing florals and gray during fall/autumn too? Hugs! Che
