Flyday Fridays: Hello, Vigo!
The perfect summer outfit:
Shorts, a loose top, small bag which can pack a punch and flat sandals for lots of walking. ;)
Vigo is not only the largest city of the Galician region of Spain but also a very important industrial, cultural and touristic city. You can never leave Vigo without paying homage first to El Sireno( the Merman), the most emblematic monument of modern Vigo. It´s located at the Porta do Sol, the city´s center.
After visiting the museums and shops, pass by the Mercado da Piedra to buy some cute trinkets as souvenirs and just a few steps away, have some fresh oysters at the Calle de las Ostras. This is my third time in Vigo but on my first and second visit, the hubz and I were having second thoughts on eating crude seafood( we liked it cooked, thank you!) so we passed on the idea but boy, we´re in for a delightful surprise!
These seemingly unpalatable babies were so delicioso, I wanted to eat a dozen, hahaha! They´re best eaten with freshly squeezed lime and with a glass of Albariño too, Galicia´s most famous white wine. ;)
There are a lot of novelty and jewelry shops near the port if you want to go shopping at a very affordable price. As for me, I wanted to stay with the yatchs and pose, lol!
After two scoops of Italian gelato at the nearby mall, hubz had turron flavor and chocolate while mine were coconut ( tasted so good!) and Ferrero flavored we went back to where the yatchs were.
And had another photo session, hehehe!
This is just a short peek of Vigo. If you wat to visit Spain, you must include this city in your itinerary especially when you want to visit the Rias Baixas. ;)
I hope you enjoyed, the pics. I´m linking up with Style Elixir´s Friday´s Fab Favorites and The Penniless Socialite and Delusions of Grandeur´s Favorite Fashion Friday.
Happy weekend, my luvs! :)
