Flyday Fridays: Purple on the Greens

Image
Hello, hello! Continuing on with my bright color phase, I present this purple and cream combination taken lots of weeks ago in one of the parks here. Whenever we have sunny days like this particular day, we usually stop by any of the parks around here and munch on my homemade sandwiches called as ¨bocadillos¨   here in Spain. It´s the kind where a baguette bread is sliced lengthwise and  stuffed with any of these: pan grilled chicken or beef with pimientos or jamon serrano and cheese or with assorted Spanish chorizos which makes it a worthy dinner fare coupled with a salad or fruit or even wine. I´m sure your drooling right now, hahaha. My version  is usually tuna, sliced eggs, lettuce, tomatoes with or without white asparagus, yummy and healthy! :) Back to what I wore, I´m into layering dainty necklaces lately. The thing is, when you wear more than one necklace around your neck, chances are that that all the chains and clasps will get stuck togetther at the...

WIWW: Colorful and Bright

Image
Good morning, everyone! It´s time to put some color on the blog today because my color choices these days have been safe aka as neutral aka slightly boring, lol! I´ve had this flowy paisley top two summers ago and it never fails me when it comes to mixing and matching my outfits. As for these slouchy trousers, consider it as my version of the loose boyfriend jeans, only that it´s not made of denim, loud and can be dressed up or dressed down. I snapped these pants at the tail end of the summer sales last year and have only worn these once with a white top. Today, it debuts on the blog for the first time. ;) top(old) - Blanco, pants(SS13) -  H&M,  bag(old) - Bershka I´m having a normal week so far, nothing extraordinary except that the weather changes it´s mind three times a day, hahaha! So how´s your week so far? Hugs! Che PS: Linking up with Lauren , Lindsey , Shanna , Alison ,  Agi , Tara and Sharon . Come and join us!

Monday Remix: Dotted Chambray

Image
Hello, hellooo! I´m on a jeans and button down phase these days, pardon the style rut. Talking about buton downs, my favorite go-to lately is this chambray dotted top which I´ve had for two years now. :) I´ve styled this top three ways but always with pants. Let´s see how it goes next but for this post I paired it with blue jeans, a caramel colored crossbody bag and leopard flats to make the whole look more interesting. I might be wearing the same jeans and top over and over again but changing your bag, shoes and other accessories definitely creates a new outfit. Right, no? ;) top(old)- Blanco Suite, jeans(old)- Zara, bag(on sale here ) ,- Bimba&Lola, flats- Primark I´ve styled the dotted top a la preppy in gray and silver with white pants, colorblocked it with yellow pants and fuchsia colored flats and.. made it more dressier with a short tweed jacket, heels, gold necklace and a metallic clutch. Do you have a favorite button/chambray top that ...

Flyday Fridays: Stars and the Wheatfields

Image
Happy 4th of July to my US blogger friends and readers! I hope the bad weather in there isn´t dumping your celebratory spirit today. Anyway, the hub z took these photos the other day (when it was still sunny) while we´re taking a walk at a protected park at the back of our place. I thought of posting these photos next week but I´ve noticed that I´m wearing a ¨star- spangled¨ top, so here´s a tribute to my American friends on the other side of the world! The outfit would be perfect if  I´d also worn a red clutch but since I live in Europe, this would do, right? ;) We´re in the middle of summer my friends and most of the wheat has turned golden brown and ready for harvesting. See? Although I live in the city, I can still see wheatfields like these around here. It´s so refreshing to see that the place where I live is not a complete concrete jungle and I can still breathe a lot of  fresh air around me. top(old) - Mango, skinny jeans(old )- Primark, sandals- ...

WIWW: Smocked Dress

Image
¡Holaaa! Have you worn a smocked dress when you´re younger, like little girl young? They´re stretchy on the top and flowy down below which also makes a perfect summer and even Sunday dress for kids.  My Mom used to buy me smocked dresses and I loved wearing them.So when I saw this cute smocked dress on sale in the summer sales last year, I just had to grab it  because it brings back those happy childhood memories that I had when I was a kid. I love the print too and the color combination which makes a great summer dress. The problem with this dress though is that the smocking extends  below the waistline making me look ¨preggo¨ because of the flare just above my tummy. No worries there, I love this dress just the same because it´s so comfy! :) The smocked top also looks great with maxi dresses too. I´m sure you´ve seen this style on dresses and even on tops. It´s so pretty! So would you wear anything with smocking? dress - Vero Moda, cardigan(old) ...

Monday Remix: White Button Down and Summer Jeans

Image
Hello my darling blogger friends and readers! So here´s another buttown down and jeans outfit for you today. Another no-fuss dressing formula for all the lazy dressers out there, tried and tested by yours trully. :) I´ve had this button down since last Christmas but only wore it until now. Quality wise, the cloth is thicker than the summer button downs being sold right now which is great because I want my clothes to last me more than a few washes. ;) As for the shoes, I needed something light, with a little heel and in neutral colors which would be perfect for the spring and summer weather. I was lucky to find this pair in my size and the snake skin print and the T-straps are a plus too! How was was your weekend? I spent mine in Bordeaux(France)  but  it´s raining every  five to ten minutes! Oh yes, it wasn´t that cool at all and I only had half the fun but it was okay. More of this in my next travel posts. Stay tuned! button down - Sfera, jeans - Zara...

Flyday Fridays: Chambray and Black( Again)

Image
Hi, everyone! Can you believe that  we´re on the last days of June, where did the first half of the year go? Time really flies so fast we have to make the most of it everyday. And I haven´t done much yet, oh geee! Anyway, here´s another basic look for you today. There´s nothing more basic than a chambray top and dark jeans. I know this is lame, hahaha! I´d love to wear white all summer but  I´m a clumsy white wearer most of the time  so chambray is the best alternative for me to survive the day without having to fret if I stained my white outfit or not. This is my favorite go-to look when I have nothing to wear, that´s why I stock up on chambray tops. ;) I´m so excited because we´ll be going on a trip to the northern side of France this weekend. It´s been four years since we last visited that part of France. I will tell you how it´ll go soon and I hope it doesn´t rain so much there because there´s nothing here but thunderstorms and hail in the afternoons....
