Dressing Up For Me

Hola, hola! We´re having a very sunny Monday in here, I hope that in your place you´re having a warm first day of the week too! Today, I´m posting some photos which we took two weeks ago while having a late afternoon  paseo ( stroll) around my street. Walking around wearing three colors( white not included) isn´t really my cup of tea ( I´m matchy-matchy, ya know!) but I´m starting to think out of the box when it comes to combining colors. As long as they harmonize together and don´t clash I´m good with that. ;) So would you wear three separate colors in your outfit? Hello, Friday! Last weekend, I had the chance to go to a travel fair held at the BEC in Bilbao. It was cold in the early morning and so I wore layers and debuted my  light gray faux leather jacket and this plaid shirt in blue and blue green, both of which I´m dying to wear but never had the occasion to. I´ve been favoring the preppy look lately maybe because the formula is so simple: printed/plain button down + pants/jeans + light sweater on top and you´re ready in a snap. Hi, luvlies ! How nice it is to wake up to a warm sunny day and blue skies, isn´t it? It´s still quite chilly in the early morning though so I had to wear a light sweater as a top but this time without a   jacket.While everyone´s going gaga over black and white, I went for a monochromatic look in different shades of brown  and wore my leopard necklace for some oomph factor. These are all  year old purchases which I mix and match. Spring cleaning really does wonders on your closet. Hi, all! I needed a hat for those light spring showers which come and go anytime of the day. Something light, waterproof, lined and foldable ( very important for storing inside your purse later when the sun comes out again) . Then I noticed the hubby´s hat in green. So I bought mine in black. Now we´re like twins in his and hers hats. A word of caution though: Wear this with something colored or else you´ll look dowdy like a dried up prune.  ;) And the here goes the blooper pic. I love eating fruits but raspberries taste a bit weird on my tropical  palate (lol!) so I  usually blend it with strawberries, blackberries, a piece of banana, yoghurt, low fat milk and low fat condensed milk to make a delicious smoothie. Tadah!!! How´s that for a tasty, fiber and vitamin packed and filling breakfast? ;) Since we´re talking about berries, how about pairing the smoothie with a crumby slice of mouthwatering cherry pie *? So calorrific , I know but I just can´t help myself from indulging in this sinfully delicious treat once in a while. Helloooo! Here are some outfit photos which we took last weekend while visiting one of the neighboring towns in here. Iron sculptures like the one in my back are a common form of modern art in the parks of Spain. A modern twist to old towns and their ancient churches which have survived through time. I was usually take out this open tote when spring comes,it´s  the perfect bag to store your scarf and jacket when it gets hot and retrieve them later when it gets cold. ;) And if you´re wondering why the first three photos doesn´t have the same shade as this last one, it´s because I´ve been taking photos through my SG III, lol!
