Dressing Up For Me

As expected, the weather here in this part of Spain has gone predictably cold. While the south is getting toasty by the day, here in the north we´re still having those cold days and sometimes even in the middle of summer . So once in a while I pull out those light knitted tops from the autumn-winter closet. One thing I love about wearing black aside from making you look sexy , is that it highlights the bling to perfection. A simple black top is the best background for some serious bling and funky colored stones. A tribute to the late Alexander McQueen. The cheapest tribute so far, it´s about 98% cheaper than any real McQueen accessory. Beat that! :) These wedges are becoming a favorite thing of mine aside from my flats. They almost go with everything especially with black. I´m loving this red dress on Posh. I wonder who made it. The shoes are open-toed Louboutins and the bag, well you know what it is  ( just one of  her massive Birkin collection). She´s Missy Matchy too but her style is elegant and classy. Story here . Meanwhile, here´s Lady Gaga´s version of the  black Birkin (if I´m not mistaken).   I literally gagged . Kaixo! :) Summer´s already here and looks like it will be staying for good. It´s time to bring out those tube tops and minis from hibernation and those sandals too! Just don´t forget to lather your SPF before stepping out into the street. Yep dahlings, SPF isn´t only for the beach. ;) Wearing: turquoise necklace - Promod , wood bangle - Sfera , assorted bracelets - random , tube top - bazaar , mini skirt (old)- YRYS( Phils.) , shoes - local Spanish store ( from last year) I´ve been looking for a light orange or melon shade of nail polish these days because I have a lot of orange-y things, you know Missy Matchy ;) . So far, I haven´t had luck and had bought a dull neon pink instead at Sephora ( which I´ve forgotten that nail polishes in Sephora are so gooey so never again!)  which doesn´t translate well in the photo. And just saying: It´s quite hard to look directly into the camera when you´re photographing yourself. Sometimes I feel so silly doing it. hahah...

¡Hola! This is a jersey mini-dress that I found in a bazaar in the Phils. many years ago. The bold prints a la Puccci caught my eye and so I grabbed it fast. Not bad that it cost me about 2 euros . ;) Taking photos in the afternoon light is the best. It brings out the colors of your dress to perfection and lightens anything that´s dark ( because I still have blotchy skin). You should try it, dahlings! :) Since I´m ... ah... conservative and quite mature (uhurm!), I would normally wear this with a black camisole and leggings. You´re seeing me here bare legged, but in the street I´d definitely wear this with leggings or tights because my butt literally shows when I stoop down to pick something up. Not a pretty sight to see! On another note,I wonder when my scars will lighten up. Hi, everyone! Forgive me, I´ve promised not to post year old photos but this was exactly what I wore yesterday sans the wedges but ballet flats while grocery shopping and running some errands. I know, my life is boring but it´s not complicated and so I love it . haha! So I might just post these photos, no? ;) A pensive pose for that not-so-perfect mood that I´m having right now. I´m cramming for my Spanish written exams and trying hard to practice writing my thoughts in Spanish because I suck at essay writing   ( you know, the grammar thing). You see I have this bad habit of thinking in English first and then translating it to Spanish which is so bad because I always get lost during translation. As the hubz would always say to me, the only thing needed to master another language is to always think in that language when you write and speak. Hello, lovelies! So how´s your weekend going? My Saturday was spent watching Prince of Persia  in the theater surrounded by giggling teenagers. The hubz was complaining that this was what we got for watching a Walt Disney movie. He doesn´t like watching movies, I only drag him there because it´s part of our anniversary date. hahaha! Later, after visiting the MIL,   I watched Eurovision. Spain´s Daniel Diges  got to perform twice because somebody decided to join in and became an instant back-up dancer in the middle of the show. Talk about spontaneity. hihihi! Not being biased ( and not because Daniel´s cute and bedimpled), I was rooting for Spain´s song. It´s actually different.
